Jello Shots - alcohol-based jelly - has long ceased to be a novelty for partygoers, but we suggest adapting the dessert for the season and placing the jelly solution inside the watermelon rind. As an alcoholic base for a gelatinous shot, you can choose any strong alcoholic beverage from vodka to tequila, but our choice fell on white rum.

Choosing a medium-sized berry, cut it in half and scoop out most of the juicy core with a spoon. The more carefully you manage to get rid of the pulp, the more beautiful the alcoholic dessert will be on the cut.

Mix regular gelatin with any red fruit jelly of your choice. Pour hot water over the mixture and stir until dissolved. Strain the jelly solution, cool until warm and combine with the selected alcohol in equal proportions. Pour the jelly solution into the hollow watermelon rind, not reaching the very edges: this way it will be easier to bring the dessert to the refrigerator and, without splashing, set it to solidify.

Leave the jelly to harden completely for 2-3 hours, and then carefully cut the watermelon into slices of medium thickness. Congratulations, you are now ready to conquer any summer picnic!
