Google has recently radically revamped the look and feel of Chrome. As is usually the case, not everyone liked the new design. And some have encountered technical problems after the update.

How to return the classic browser interface

  1. In the address bar, enter

    chrome: // flags

  2. and press Enter.
  3. Search for UI Layout for the browser’s top chrome and select Normal.
  4. Restart your browser by clicking on the Relaunch Now button at the bottom right.

In Chrome, the innovations of the 69th version will remain, but not all - for example, the password generator will stop working. But the toolbar, tabs and other interface elements will look the same as before.

How to fix blurry fonts

For some, after the update, the text in the browser became blurry. This happens when the window is maximized to full screen - if you just stretch it to the edges, the letters will be normal.

You can experiment with the scaling settings in Windows 10. Go to the system settings, select the "Display" tab and in the item "Change the size of text, applications and other elements" try to set the scale smaller.

If that doesn't work either, right-click on the Chrome shortcut and click Properties. In the "Shortcut" tab in the "Object" line, add the following to the text after the space (without a period at the end):

/ high-dpi-support = 1 / force-device-scale-factor = 1

… Click "OK" and restart the program. This will make the image smaller in the browser, but will fix blurry fonts.
