When you look at the fluffy popovers, it immediately becomes clear why they got their name: during baking, the dough literally crawls out of the mold, tripling in volume and turning into an airy bun that melts in your mouth. Popovers are incredibly simple to prepare and look very impressive. These rolls are ideal for breakfast, complement salad and hot dishes with gravy, which is convenient to collect with a piece of popover from the bottom of the plate.
The dough for fluffy buns is prepared no more difficult than pancake dough and is very similar to the latter, not only in terms of the list of ingredients, but also in consistency.
First, take a mold and brush it with half the melted butter. You can purchase special tall popover tins or use regular cupcake tins.
Now let's move on to the test. It really gets ready in minutes. First, beat the eggs, milk and the remaining melted butter.
Now add flour and a pinch of salt. Beat, making sure to leave a minimum of lumps in the dough. Note that we do not use any baking powder, soda, or even more so yeast, eggs are the main lifting force in the recipe.
As promised, one-to-one ready-made dough resembles a pancake dough in consistency.
Fill the molds with dough, taking up ⅔ of the volume.
Popovers should be baked for about half an hour at 190 ° C. After removing from the oven, poke a small hole in each bun to release the steam, then refrigerate for 5 minutes.
The dough turns out to be incredibly soft, and the buns themselves are hollow inside, somewhat reminiscent of eclairs.
Serve the popovers with a lump of butter, jam, cream cheese, or regular hard cheese. Buns can be either an independent dish or an addition to the main one.

- ½ cup (120 ml) flour

Preparation
- Melt the butter. Use half of the oil to lubricate the molds.

- Add sifted flour and salt to the liquid mixture of ingredients. Knead to a homogeneous dough.
- Fill the greased molds with ⅔ dough and bake the buns at 190 ° C for 30 minutes.
