The omelet according to our technology is a cross between a popover and an omelet itself, it is amazingly airy, easy to prepare, and is also able to make great friends with any additions that you want to put in it.
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs;
- 1 glass of milk;
- 1 cup flour
- ⅔ teaspoon of salt;
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper;
- 1 teaspoon dried onion
- ½ teaspoon dried garlic;
- ⅔ glasses of grated cheese;
- 2 green onion feathers.
Preparation
Another undoubted plus of the recipe is that everything is cooked in one dish.
First, beat a few eggs with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Now for the dry ingredients. As for spices, the choice is endless, any dried herbs and vegetables will do, perhaps a little paprika and nutmeg. We opted for a standard set of dried onions and garlic. Add them to the eggs along with the flour.
If you want to avoid clumping, whisk the dry ingredients with only the eggs first, then add the milk.
The consistency of the finished dough is exactly like pancake dough.
After preheating the oven to 220 ° C, grease a 20 × 20 cm pan with oil and let it warm up for 5 minutes. Due to the fact that the form will be warmed up in advance, the omelet will instantly grab from below, its edges will rise during baking in the same way as with popovers.
Quickly pour the omelet mixture into a hot pan and sprinkle with cheese.
Place the omelet in the oven for 20-23 minutes. Towards the end of cooking, start watching it: if the edges are too dark, then cover the form with foil.
Sprinkle the finished omelet with green onions.
