While the season allows us to enjoy the fragrant and juicy products of summer cuisine - vegetables, I want to offer you another recipe for delicious sandwiches. Cooking requires a minimum of effort and skill. All you need is toast bread or a crispy baguette, tomatoes, basil, and feta.

The original recipe suggests adding fat-free mayonnaise to feta. I'll be honest - I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise. When I cooked for the first time, I added a little sour cream instead of mayonnaise, and the second time I tried to add a little olive oil. I also added a little garlic and black pepper there, as I think the combination of basil-tomato-garlic is almost perfect.

So, knead a small amount of feta in a bowl with a fork, add a little olive oil or sour cream (your choice), finely chopped basil leaves and garlic with black pepper if desired.

Cut the tomatoes into thin mugs, dry the bread in a pan and get ready for the final assembly of the sandwiches:)

Spread a layer of feta with basil on the bread, put the tomatoes on top and cover with another slice of bread. I cooked with both toaster bread and baguette - both are delicious. Since it is a cold sandwich, it can be kept in the refrigerator by wrapping it in plastic wrap. But just not for very long, because if the tomatoes are very juicy, the bread can simply get wet and it will not be so tasty anymore.
