All recipes use whole grain bread to make the sandwiches really healthy. But, if you don't like this option, you can take any other type of baked goods. It will be delicious anyway!
Recipe 1. With avocado and salad
Ingredients:
- ¼ avocado;
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ¾ cups of finely chopped boiled chicken breast
- whole wheat bread;
- lettuce leaves or a handful of sprouted wheat (beans);
- several slices of tomato.
Preparation
In a small bowl, combine the avocado, yogurt and lemon juice, then add the chopped boiled chicken and mix well. Place a tomato circle, chicken salad on a slice of bread and add some lettuce leaves or any other greens on top.
Recipe 2. With tuna and herbs
Ingredients:
- whole wheat bread;
- 1 can of tuna in its own juice without salt;
- juice of two lemon slices;
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- ½ small red onion;
- ½ cup sweet peppers, chopped (canned)
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- salt and pepper to taste.
Preparation
Open the tuna can, drain the liquid and transfer the fish to a plate. Add olive oil, lemon juice, diced onions, peppers, parsley. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place on whole grain bread slices.
Recipe 3. With legumes and chicken
Ingredients:
- 100 g of chopped boiled chicken breast;
- ½ a small avocado;
- ½ cup boiled or canned legumes (any);
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder;
- lettuce leaves or any other greens;
- whole wheat bread;
- salt and pepper to taste.
Preparation
Combine all the ingredients except the lettuce leaves in a bowl. Put the lettuce leaves on the bread first, then the mixture, then the salad again and cover it all with the second piece of bread.
In our case, chickpeas were used in the preparation. It turned out very tasty.:)
Recipe 4. With poultry and apples
Ingredients:
- baked, roasted or boiled turkey or chicken;
- whole wheat bread;
- lettuce leaves;
- your favorite cheese;
- apples.
Preparation
Prepare poultry meat using any of the above methods and cut into small pieces. Core the apple and cut into thin slices. Place lettuce, apple, cheese and poultry on top of a slice of whole grain bread and top with a second slice of bread. To keep the sandwich from getting so dry, you can add a little natural yogurt mixed with lemon juice as a sauce.
Recipe 5. With radish and cream cheese
Ingredients:
- 120 g of any cream cheese;
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped, plus sprigs for garnish
- whole wheat bread;
- 6-8 medium radishes;
- black pepper and salt to taste.
Preparation
In a small bowl, combine cream cheese with chopped dill and add some freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste. Cut the radishes into thin slices. Spread a layer of dill cream cheese on top of the bread, place the radish slices on top and add some more dill on top, if desired.
