This is not the first time that Google has used excellent satellite imagery of our planet to design its projects. But in Pixel smartphones, the designers presented a surprise: the dynamic wallpapers they created give the full feeling that we are faced with real living images of the Earth.
Immediately after the start of sales, hackers began to dissect the insides of Pixel smartphones in an attempt to adapt its software for other versions of Android. Thus, first branded dialer and Pixel camera appeared on the Internet, and now Live Earth live wallpapers.
To install these dynamic backgrounds, you need a smartphone running Android 6 (ARM64) or Android 7 (ARM64 / x86). Make sure your device is allowed to install apps from third-party sources.
Download the installation file from the link at the end of the article and install it on your smartphone. After that, open the "Live Wallpaper" section in the settings and select the background you like for your desktop.
Please note that some of the presented backgrounds, as conceived by the developers, should also have additional functions. So, on the “Horizon” wallpaper, the illumination of the picture corresponds to the battery charge level, and the “Solar System” wallpaper shows an image of our planet with clouds changing in real time. However, these functions do not work on all smartphones, alas.
