How to Russify Telegram

iOS

Go to the Telegram application, open the list of messages (Chats) and in the search write telerobot in Latin letters. Select a bot named "Robot Anton" and send it the Locale ios command.

In less than a second, the bot will send you a message with the file. Click on it, download and select the Apply Localization option. After that, the entire application will automatically become Russian-language.

To revert to the old version, go to settings, select "Traffic and storage" and click "Reset language".

Android

Search for the same bot as for iOS and send it a message Locale android. Download the resulting file, then click on the three dots next to it and select the Apply Localization option. Set the Russian language in the Telegram settings.

To disable the function, just go to the settings again and delete the language.

Windows Phone

Unfortunately, the Russian language cannot be installed in the application on Windows Phone. Perhaps, over time, this will be corrected. Keep for updates.

OS X

Open the desktop version of Telegram, find the bot "Robot Anton" and send it a message with the text Locale osx. Download the file and rename it Localizable.strings.

Now open the application list in Finder, right click on Telegram, open the Content folder and add the renamed file to the Resources folder.

Enter a password if required. Then restart the program.

Windows

Send a Locale windows message to the same bot in the Telegram desktop version and download the resulting file to the folder. In the upper right corner of the application, open the settings, hold down the Shift + Alt keys and select Change language.

Open the downloaded file called Russian.strings.
