Streaming service Spotify has launched the Musical Map website. With its help, you can find out what kind of music is listened to in different cities of the world. We tracked different cities and selected the musical preferences of their inhabitants.
Despite the release of Apple Music, Spotify remains the most popular music streaming service. The number of its users is 75 million people, more than a third of them bought a paid subscription, which allows you to download music and listen to radio without ads. Therefore, the service provides fairly objective data on what kind of music is listened to around the world. We chose five cities and found out that they listen.
