Hello everyone. My name is Sasha and I have lost 25 kilograms. And oddly enough, I had no particular incentive for this. You may ask: "What kind of incentives can there be?" Well, first of all, you can talk about self-esteem. It can change depending on your physique. Moreover, to the point that today you like yourself, and tomorrow you already feel disgust. Secondly, it is the opinion of other people about you. No matter how hard we try to be self-sufficient and listen only to ourselves, we cannot deceive ourselves and we are really very dependent on what others say about us. Third, there are health problems. And this, too, has a huge impact on changing your lifestyle. When you notice that you are already climbing to the second floor with shortness of breath, the thought comes to your mind that it’s time to change something. The most interesting thing is that a person may not notice this for weeks, months, years and, being in his comfort zone, not try to change something. And then, bam, and at one point he realizes everything. These are the most important incentives.
I'll get back to the topic. I had no incentive. I wanted to lose weight, but not too much. Of course, if I was offered to just take and bring my body into perfect condition in one moment, I would agree. But to do something for this? Pfft, I'm too cool for this shit. But, the academic year at the university ended, I had a lot of free time and I realized that I wanted something new. I guess I just needed to take some time.
So I started to run. Having decided that running should give all the best, I decided that it was not for nothing that many athletes run in a sweater with a hood even in summer, and even Rocky Balboa did not disdain such a technique. In general, I decided that in the 33 degree heat I will certainly run in a sweatshirt with a hood to sweat better! The result was not long in coming and I got heatstroke with all the ensuing consequences.
But, oddly enough, this did not discourage me from running, but on the contrary - I rushed into battle with renewed vigor the very next day. I started combining cardio (running) and strength training in the gym. Looking back, I honestly cannot understand how I managed to achieve results, because, basically, I did everything on a whim, without going too deep into theory. Later I changed my mind about jogging and preferred interval jogging, but more on that next time.
About a month later, when the first results had already appeared, I decided that I needed to do my own diet. Here theory has already gone into action. I began to study various sites, methods and diets, but in time I came across information that all diets are complete slag and if I really want to lose weight and not regain a single gram of excess weight, I will have to completely reconsider the whole concept of my nutrition. So I began to eat in a new way. Fractional meals, separation of carbohydrates and proteins, reduction of fat, in general, all the basic principles of good nutrition. The only rule that came out of the concept of healthy eating and which I adhered to was that I allowed myself to eat whatever I want for breakfast. Later I replaced this principle with another principle - cheat meal.
And in order to bring some really useful, practical information, I will write a few basic theses that, in my opinion, will allow you to properly lose excess weight:
1. Take your time. Diets that allow you to lose 15 kilograms a month can really do this, but it is fraught with too bad consequences for your health.
2. Want to eat more - exercise more. If you do not have enough of your daily diet, add any activity (running, swimming, gym, walking, yoga), calculate the number of calories spent on this activity and add the same amount in the form of a daily diet.
3. Don't forget about proteins. Do not eat only cereals, fruits and vegetables. Protein is too important for your body to neglect.
4. Break your diet into 5-6 small meals every 2.5-3 hours. This will allow you to keep a clear schedule of your meals and will not overwhelm your digestive system.
5. Drink plenty of water. Tea is not water, coffee is not water, juice is not water. 30-35 ml per kilogram of body weight will be just right.
6. Forget about dieting. If you really want to lose weight, improve your health and never again hear the phrase in your address: "There should be a lot of good people" - you must forever reconsider your diet and never return to old habits.
These basic principles will allow you to slowly, without any problems, lose weight. In the next article I will dwell on nutrition in more detail and try to describe in detail all the principles that I adhered to.
Well, returning to the main topic of the article, by the end of the summer the result was as follows - minus 25 kilograms of excess weight, plus 25 to self-esteem and various questions like: “Why have you lost so much weight! Did you happen to get sick? No, I didn’t get sick. I have finally recovered.
