These buns are reminiscent of the classic cinnamon curls, but instead of an abundance of spice and sweet syrup, they combine well-seasoned beef with mushrooms and cream cheese sauce. This dish is a real gift for those who do not consider themselves among the ranks of the sweet tooth.
Ingredients
- 500 g pizza dough;
- 500 g ground beef;
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
- 1 teaspoon dried Provencal herbs
- 1 teaspoon dried garlic
- 150 g champignons;
- 1 onion;
- green onions to taste;
- 200 g of hard cheese;
- 80 g cream cheese;
- 2-3 tablespoons of milk.
Preparation
Start by preparing the filling. Heat a couple tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat and use it to sauté finely chopped onions. As soon as the onion turns transparent, add the chopped mushrooms to it and cook until the excess moisture has completely evaporated. Add minced meat, add dried herbs, garlic and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for another 3-4 minutes until the meat is tender. Add chopped green onions.
Be sure to let the filling cool, otherwise it will heat up the dough during the shaping phase, which will begin to stick and tear.
Roll out the finished pizza dough into a rectangle about 35 x 20 centimeters in size. Distribute half of the grated cheese, backing off a couple of centimeters from each end. Top with the meat filling and sprinkle with cheese again.
Roll the dough into a roll, cut off the excess from both ends. Divide the roll into eight equal pieces.
Place each bun in a greased and floured baking dish, cut side up. Lubricate the surface with olive oil.
Send the buns to an oven preheated to 220 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Leave the finished products to cool. For the sauce, whisk cream cheese with 2-3 tablespoons of milk.
Pour the sauce over the buns, garnish with herbs and serve.
