The app used to tell you where you can park your car, but now it can determine the safest and fastest way to a free parking space.
Yandex taught Navigator how to build special routes for finding parking lots. So far, the function works only in the Android version of the application and is available to residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg. In other cities, parking is only being tested. The add-on should appear in the iOS app shortly.
At the end of each trip, the Navigator will suggest a route to find parking. This route will help you to park your car in no more than 15 minutes. In this case, the parking lot will be within walking distance to the purpose of the trip.
The app builds the route along the nearest streets, giving preference to those where there are parking lots, but no serious traffic jams. If you have to pay for the place, "Navigator" will inform you about it.
Yandex receives information about parking lots from partners and from open sources. You can also mark parking lots on the "People's Map".
