Funny characters will decorate New Year's cards and cheer up, and thanks to step-by-step instructions, they can be easily repeated by both children and adults.
How to draw a snowman with a hat
What do you need
- Paper;
- black felt-tip pen;
- colored markers.
How to draw
Start with two round eyes, one slightly higher than the other. From the middle of the distance between the eyes to the right, draw a carrot-like nose that looks like a long triangle.
Paint over the eyes, leaving white highlights on the pupils. Draw a smile with dots.
Draw the lower semicircular outline of the head. It is bounded from above by the base of the cap. To mark it, draw two parallel arcs over the snowman's face one above the other and connect them with short lines slightly curved outward.
Draw the hat with two lines and decorate it at the end with a round pompom.
Add fluffy pompom in small zigzags. Under the snowman's head, draw a horizontal rectangle with slightly curved sides. This is a blank for a scarf.
Under it there will be a body standing on the ground - a circle with a larger diameter than the head, and a pair of arbitrary lines under this circle.
From the right side of the snowman in relation to you, draw two arcs with a bifurcation at the end. This is a twig hand. Draw the second arm in the same way. It starts approximately under the left border of the scarf, because the whole figure is slightly turned sideways. If you want the snowman to show a heart with his hands, then mark the corresponding bend, as in the picture. Add a couple of round buttons above it.
To the left of the snowman, draw a scarf fluttering in the wind. It consists of two irregular quadrangles of the same height as the part of the scarf that we have already marked on the neck. Apply vertical stripes to all parts of the scarf, add rectangular fringes at the ends.
Behind the back of the figure, draw with smooth lines a couple of hills, and on them in zigzags - the contours of the trees.
Color the snowman with colored markers.

How to draw a snowman with a top hat
What do you need
- Paper;
- simple pencil.
How to draw
Draw a circle and in it - a nose-carrot sticking out from the center to the left.
Above the nose, add oval black eyes, and below it, a dotted smile.
Draw a line above your head, from left to right, like an open oval. From it up, draw two segments of the same length and connect them with a rounded line to make a cylinder.
Draw another rounded line below, parallel to the first. This will be the hat ribbon. From the head down, direct two short segments, denoting the neck, and draw a waving scarf in a wide arc.
Add a circle around the neck about the width of the hat or slightly wider. This is the torso of a snowman.
Draw round buttons with four holes each. From the snowman's left side, draw a straight hand with three "fingers" at the end.
Add a second hand on the opposite side. Shade the shadow of the snowman on the ground, the scarf and the entire hat except the ribbon. Color in the drawing with colored pencils if desired.

How to draw a snowman with a bucket on his head
What do you need
- Watercolor paper;
- simple pencil;
- eraser;
- black marker;
- white gel pen;
- brushes;
- a glass of water;
- watercolor paints;
- palette.
How to draw
Mark on the sheet with a simple pencil the surface of the earth where the snowman will stand, and its bottom point. Draw a line or arc up and mark the top point of the snowman, that is, his height. It is best to take a 2B pencil, it will not scratch the paper and will not interfere with the paint lying flat.
Draw three intersecting circles on the vertical axis: the largest at the bottom, the smallest at the top.
Under the larger circle, draw two small oblique ovals for the legs. On the right, draw two parallel arcs from the middle to the large circle - these are the outlines of the snowman's hand.
Draw the second hand. It consists of two parallel oblique lines from the upper and middle portions of the central circle. The arm is complemented by an oval of the same size as the legs, located at the end of these lines and slightly shifted upward. This oval will represent the mitten with which the snowman is holding the tree.
The exact contours at this stage are not important, the drawing will still change, the main thing is to indicate the location of all the elements relative to each other.
Draw a tree. Draw a straight line through the mitten. Departing slightly from the top edge, draw two triangular branches directed to the sides and upward, and further, directly on top of the outlines of the snowman, add the rest of the triangular branches, directing their corners to the sides and downward. Please note that the tree at the bottom should be wider than at the top.
For all three circles that make up the snowman's body, mark the conditional middle lines. They follow the shape of the ball, that is, they are slightly curved. At the same distance to the left and right of the midline of the head, draw round eyes and straight eyebrows.
Place a bucket over the snowman's head. It consists of two vertical lines at a slight angle to each other, crowned with a narrow elongated oval - the bottom of the bucket. Add a handle, it sticks out with an eyelet to the right (in relation to you).
At this stage, it is already possible to clarify some of the contours of the figure, smoothing the transitions between the head and body and denoting the "waist" of the snowman.
From the middle of the face, draw two lines to the left at an acute angle. This is a carrot nose. End it on the right with a small arc. Draw a smile in a large arc.
Add four round buttons along the center of the torso. Circle both hands more clearly, on the right (in relation to you) make a fold at the bend of the elbow.
Trace the entire drawing with black marker and erase the pencil lines. Please note that the tree ends up almost completely covering the snowman's hand. Needle strokes can be added to the tree.
Add colors to the drawing. The general principle of coloring is this: start with pale colors, then add more saturated ones.
Dilute blue paint to light blue on the palette and cover the snowman, leaving unpainted areas in the center of each ball, on the top of the legs and arms. With the same paint, but less diluted, go around the edges of the shape, adding shadows.
Add a drop of black to the blue paint and paint over the snow. The color directly around the snowman and the tree should be darker, because shadows fall there.
Cover the tree with pale green paint. Add a little blue to the green paint and create a non-uniform texture of the needles with short strokes in the direction of the growth of the branches. You do not need to paint over the whole tree with a dark color, let the tips remain light.
Turn the carrot nose orange. Outline the bucket on the head with black paint and partially paint over with movements from top to bottom. Leave a vertical white highlight to convey the shine of the metal. Nearby, you can add another blue highlight, as a reflection of the snow. Paint over the buttons with black paint or a marker.
Fill the background with dark blue. Do not try to make it uniform, tone transitions look more interesting. You can mix a little purple or dark green here and there.
Add dark blue tree shadows on the side of the snowman, in the fold of the free arm, and in the snow under the figure.
Let the drawing dry completely. If any contours after coloring have become less visible, go over them again with a black marker. Use a white gel pen to add snowflake circles to the drawing.
