Why is it time to stop resenting on the Internet

The Internet is the most democratic and open information environment. If the hero of one of the films dreamed that someday there will come a time when everyone will get their 10 minutes on the air of TV and this will change the world for the better, but now we have 24 hours a day of free “air”. But the world for the better for some reason still does not change.

We spend a lot of time on indignation in our blogs, on social media pages, in profile groups and communities, just on Twitter or even in statuses on Skype.… We are outraged by literally everything: from the actions of the government to neighbors who litter at the entrance. We are outraged by the distant America (which 90% of active "outrages" on the Web will not get to because of the banal lack of a passport). We are outraged by the neighboring countries of Russia (because they suddenly live differently from what it seems to us or to those who successfully feed us different versions of reality using TV, online media or personal blogs of political and social movements). Even our own country outrages us - and where else can you write about it on the Internet! Around, literally on the trees, weirdos with the letter M grow - with this we must somehow fight!

In fact, everything is much simpler. If, instead of 5-10 minutes that you spent on indignation on the Internet with your neighbors parking on the lawn, you pick up a hammer, nails and a few planks, then a decorative fence may appear, which can be used to block a flower bed at the entrance. And in 99% of cases, no one will put the car on the flowerbed anymore. If, instead of half an hour of proceedings on the forum, who is to blame for the stupidity of motorists and inattention of pedestrians, observe traffic rules everywhere, and then teach all your relatives, acquaintances and friends to this, then the number of violators will begin to decrease.

If you get together with friends and make a playground in the yard (or even better, find sane people in the city hall and connect them to this process), it will work. And it will work for you, believe me. And the collection of children's things and medicines, and even computers for those who need them, but who do not have their own money for this, can also be arranged using the Internet. I live in a small (350 thousand population) city - and it works, it's checked. Not indignant that the State, this mythical monster, "does not give" or "does not supply" something. The state is you. Of course, you can sit down on the topic "time to blame", spend the winter in one country, summer in another, autumn and spring in a third. And then for a short moment, returning back, bewildered why there is such dullness, horror and unsettledness around.

The Internet is a great platform for communication and crowdsourcing of ideas, in order to bring communities from online to offline not only for the sake of rallies under different flags or requirements "to be as before." Yes, the Internet community will not rewrite laws to be more transparent (at least not immediately), will not abolish the sad faces of customs officers, will not improve the climate and will not reduce the crime rate in one fell swoop. But there are hundreds - even thousands - of little things that make up our daily life. And it is these little things that each of us, having enlisted the support of 2-3 friends, 5-10 acquaintances (even from the Internet, not necessarily living right next to you - or maybe nearby, but you just have never crossed paths outside the Web before) - that's these are the little things you can change.

Don't be angry on the internet - just do … Change what seems wrong to you right now next to you. Dreaming of changing the country or society as a whole, start with what you can change for the better in your backyard by the end of this week … It will be much more useful that way.
