There are countries that are difficult to travel to for a long time due to their remoteness and expensive flight, accommodation and training. However, some universities and governments offer scholarships to help fulfill the dream of a quality education at the edge of the world. In this article, we have collected the most profitable options.
These scholarships are annual. Some of them can still be applied for for 2018-2019, others are no longer. To make it easier for you to navigate the dates for the next year, we also indicated the past deadlines.
Japan
University of Tokyo Scholarship
The University of Tokyo offers an annual scholarship to students who enroll in one of the University's Graduate School of Science master's programs. Applicants are foreigners who do not reside in Japan. The scholarship is for the entire period of study and provides for an payment of 150,000 yen per month (about $ 1,300). Training can last for a maximum of five years, which includes two years of master's and three years of postgraduate studies.
The application for the scholarship and study is submitted at the same time. The funding application includes a letter of recommendation from the university where you are graduating and a copy of the application for the master's program. In 2018, the acceptance of documents ended on May 1 for those who begin their studies in September, and will end on October 31 for those whose academic year begins in April.

Japan Women's Association Scholarships and Grants at Universities
The Japanese Association of University Women (JAUW) offers scholarships for female students who wish to pursue PhD or postdoctoral studies. Since 1946, JAUW has been supporting women in education. The organization currently provides grants ranging from ¥ 700,000 to ¥ 1,000,000 (~ $ 6,300 to ~ $ 9,000), depending on the length of study.

Japanese government programs
The Japanese government is offering scholarships to prospective bachelors who are planning to pursue an education in the natural sciences, humanities or social sciences. As part of the program, you can also take preparatory language courses.
Citizens of any country that has diplomatic ties with Japan can apply for funding. In total, training lasts five years, including one year of preparation and four years of bachelor's degree. Sometimes the scholarship is extended for a master's degree, but this depends on the student's achievements. The government pays for flights and tuition, and provides 117,000 yen (~ $ 1,000) per month for accommodation. The deadline for accepting applications was held on May 25.

Australia
Monash University Scholarship
This university in Melbourne provides free training for foreign bachelors. To qualify for the Monash International Leadership Scholarship, one must obtain an invitation to the program and not apply for other scholarships. The results depend on the student's academic success and the letter of motivation.
To continue receiving the scholarship throughout the course, the average grade must be at least 70%, and the student must also participate in the marketing activities of the university.

To apply, the candidate makes arrangements with one of the institutes that are part of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, or Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

Icelandic University Scholarship
The government is offering funding for a program to study Icelandic. Students must have basic knowledge of the language.
