1. Light colors

Color forecasts are traditionally made by the Pantone Color Institute. If you believe them, the trend will be shades that convey lightness and at the same time allow for self-expression. The following colors will prevail in designer collections for spring and summer 2020:

  1. Scarlet flame.
  2. Saffron.
  3. Classic blue.
  4. Biscay Green.
  5. Onion.
  6. Washed denim.
  7. Orange peel.
  8. Blue mosaic.
  9. Sunlight.
  10. Coral pink.
  11. Cinnamon stick.
  12. Grape compote.

2. Art in clothing

Several designers have presented spring collections at once, inspired by the canvases of great artists or explicitly citing them. At the Moschino show, models emerged from a gilded frame, as if Picasso's paintings had come to life. And the outfits of the Valentino collection combined two trends - art in the form of paintings by Henri Rousseau and the jungle as a print.

Designers have looked for inspiration in different times and art forms. So you don't have to go for the classics if you love everything new. Modern creators are fine too.

3. More interest in healthy eating

The trend towards healthy eating is gaining momentum. The current trends were presented by the American supermarket chain Whole Foods. Here are the most interesting of them.

Avoiding alcohol

Alcohol ceases to be an obligatory attribute of holidays and parties. Therefore, cafes and restaurants are forced to revise the bar list, adding non-alcoholic cocktails and other drinks there.

Even less sugar

There will be less refined sugar in the diet. It will be replaced by syrups.

Fridge snacks

Out-of-refrigerator snacks - muesli, croutons, diet bars - are losing popularity. They are being replaced by healthier and more perishable foods using fresh ingredients: pickled vegetables, portioned soups, boiled eggs with fillings.

More types of flour

The usual wheat flour is already being replaced with oatmeal, flaxseed, and corn flour. There will be even more alternative types of products. The popularity is predicted of flour made from nuts and fruits.

Non-soy vegetable protein

Soy has long been the main source of vegetable protein. However, it is a strong allergen, so other foods, such as beans, avocados and certain types of seeds, may soon overtake it.

Replacing butter with vegetable

The nutritional qualities of the oil have nothing to do with it; its animal origin is to blame for everything. The number of vegetarians is growing and the product is losing popularity.

Cutlets with vegetables

The usual cutlets in burgers are gradually changing the composition. Vegetables are now added to minced meat in different proportions. It is cheaper for the manufacturer, and the consumer gets a product with less fat.

4. Digital detox

There are more and more ways to receive information and exchange it. For many years, people have been happy that they can always be in touch and have instant access to the Internet. But the pendulum is clearly close to swinging in the other direction.

It became obvious that it is not very good to always be in touch: they can get you at any moment. And it is easy to drown in the stream of constantly pouring information. As a result, people begin to determine the method of communication that is acceptable to them (for example, write to a messenger, but not call), stop watching social media feeds, arrange a digital detox, abandoning all devices for a while.

The development of this trend can be judged by the "Screen Time" program built into the latest versions of iOS, which tracks how many hours and minutes you have spent on your smartphone. And Apple is keenly aware of trends.

People clearly want to return to the real world from the virtual one.

A natural addition to this item is digital hygiene. In most social networks, you can now hide a user's posts from the feed without removing him from the friends list. So you no longer need to endure annoying content, just not to offend a person.

5. Taking care of the environment

In 2019, Swedish schoolgirl Greta Thunberg made an emotional speech at the UN General Assembly on climate change. This can be viewed in different ways, but the activist launched a new round of struggle for environmental care. The girl was supported by many Western and domestic stars.

However, giving all the laurels to Greta is also not worth it, because concern for the environment is a growing trend. Separate waste collection is being established in the regions. In the vegetable department of "Ashan", reusable bags appeared next to plastic bags. And even in memes, the topic of ecology began to surface.

Animal Defenders:

- Why do you need natural fur coats ?! Can't you wear synthetic ones ?!

Ecoactivists:

- Are you out of your mind? This fur coat will decompose for 500 years.

Fight.

There will definitely be more to come.
