Our habits, that is, actions that we do unconsciously, “automatically”, largely determine our successes and failures. It is quite obvious that the person who wants to change his life for the better must pay the utmost attention to developing the appropriate habits. They form the foundation, the foundation on which everything else is built.

We've already devoted one of our New Year's articles to working with habits, focusing on dedicated web applications. Today there was an opportunity to continue the topic and introduce you to an excellent program Habbits for the Android platform.

The Habbits application technique for developing good habits (or breaking bad ones) uses the well-known and very popular recently "chain continuity" method. It consists in the fact that every day when you managed to follow the planned skill, you mark on the calendar. The sequence of such “correct” days forms a chain. Your task is to grow as long a chain as possible without missing links.

The application is very easy to use. After the first launch, you will see a still blank screen with a list of your habits. To add a new element, you must use the button in the upper right corner. After adding a developed skill, it appears as a card with a weekly calendar on the main screen.

Now you can easily mark the days when you were able to follow your plan with a single tap on the desired date. As a result, it will turn green, and a counter for the length of your chain will appear on top. If on any day you have not done the necessary action, then mark it with a double tap on the corresponding date. It will turn red and the chain length will be reset to zero.

There are also blue dates in the screenshots. These are pre-scheduled days when you give yourself a break. For example, if you get into the habit of getting up an hour earlier, then weekends can be eliminated without fear of zeroing the chain.

Thus, striving every day to fulfill your goal and not break the chain will help you develop useful skills. And the program Habbits will motivate you along the way by visualizing your successes.
