1. Dark times

Australia has a giant saltwater crocodile that kills people. A national park ranger is tasked with getting rid of the monster. But the natives believe that it is impossible to destroy the monster: the spirit of the past lives in it.

If you replace the shark with a crocodile in Jaws, you get Dark Times. Moreover, for a film of category B, Arch Nicholson's picture visually looks just fine.

2. Crocodile Dundee 2

Miku Dundee, nicknamed Crocodile, lives well in New York. But suddenly his beloved Sue is kidnapped by drug dealers. Having freed the girl from captivity, Mick decides to return with her to his native Australia.

In the previous part, Dundee settled well in the stone jungle, but in the sequel, the writers decided to return the hero to the bosom of nature. And already there on the side of the daredevil there will be buffaloes, and snakes, and crocodiles.

3. Lake Placid: Lake of Fear

In Lake Placid, somewhere in Maine, a huge crocodile is found attacking people. Local sheriff Hank Keough, along with paleontologist Kelly Scott sent from New York, are trying to catch the reptile. And the expert on predators Hector Sire helps them in this.

Director Steve Miner is literally a veteran of the horror genre: he directed two parts of Friday the 13th and Halloween: 20 Years Later. At the same time, "Lake Placid" combines horror with humor, and there will not be too many scenes of violence here.

The film turned out to be quite successful and spawned an impressive number of sequels. But in terms of quality, they lagged far behind the first film and, as a rule, were released immediately on carriers.

4. Predatory waters

Grace, Adam and Lee decide to go fishing in the jungle and, in order not to get lost, hire a local expert. However, people are suddenly attacked by a nearby crocodile. Worst of all, the heroes lose the boat and are forced to hide from the predator among the trees.

Directed by David Nerlich and Andrew Trauki, the film is not to be missed by any animal horror fan. There will be a lot of suspense here, and real trained crocodiles were attracted for filming.

5. Primal evil

A group of TV crews travels to the Republic of Burundi to film a story about a man-eating crocodile. But on the spot, they, as well as the experienced hunter Craig, will have to face a truly primal evil.

In 2007, several horror films about crocodiles were released at once. But "Primal Evil" differs from all similar films in that the creators diluted the horror component with the theme of the civil war on the African continent.

6. Trap

The swimmer Haley goes to the house of her father, who has not been in touch for a long time, and finds him unconscious. It turns out that the building was chosen by hungry alligators, and there is nowhere to wait for help because of the storm warning.

French director Alexander Azha reimagined the carnivorous movie, mixing it with a disaster movie about a hurricane. And we have to admit that "Trap" is perhaps the highest quality horror movie about crocodiles in the history of the genre.

A group of friends travels to Australia to explore ancient caves. Suddenly, a storm begins, and together with the water, an aggressive crocodile falls into the ground.

Formally, "Trap" is a sequel to "Waters of Predator" in 2007, but the film has nothing to do with the plot of the original. And if the first picture was partly based on real events, here the script is completely invented from start to finish.
