A fan is one of the cheapest ways to cool off during the heat. In the summer we use it mercilessly, but in the winter it’s time to start cleaning it.
You will need:
- cotton swabs;
- clean rag;
- warm soapy water;
- screwdriver.
First, make sure the fan is not plugged in. Then unscrew or remove the front of the grille. Unscrew the cover that holds the blades and then remove them. If you can, remove the back of the grille.
First wipe the grate and blades with a dry cloth, then wash in warm soapy water. Take the time to wipe down all surfaces of the grille elements: it's worth it.
Use a rag to remove any dried stains. If dirt has accumulated somewhere, remove it with cotton swabs. Remember to clean the fan buttons and base.
Dry all items and put them back in place. Ready!
