At the recent presentation of Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, the manufacturer focused on the top-end "proshka", but not much was said about the basic version of the smartphone from the stage. After the devices appeared on the official website, all their characteristics became clear.

By and large, these smartphones have identical processors, selfie cameras and memory capacity in the minimum version. Plus, both with Type-C and an in-screen fingerprint reader. At the same time, the screens themselves can hardly be called similar. They have the same resolution, but different sizes and shapes.

With regard to cameras, the situation is the same. Even despite the presence of the main sensor in both 40-megapixels, there are a lot of discrepancies in optics and stabilization. About the same P30 and P30 Pro can shoot under simple conditions in automatic mode, but with minimal lighting, as well as shooting in motion, the "proshka" should have a big advantage.

Everything about zoom and charging speed in the table is also quite clear. The base P30 does not support Qi-charging, and it is inferior in speed to wired charging. Its only advantage against the background of its “big brother” is the audio jack, which was not found in the P30 Pro, as well as the usual speaker for voice communication - this function is realized through the vibration of the screen itself.

In addition to the main camera and charging speed, the absolute advantages of the Huawei P30 Pro include the full-fledged waterproofness of the IP68 class. The IP53 standard of the P30 only provides protection from rain, and some dust can penetrate into the case.

As far as prices are concerned, with so many differences, the difference of € 200 looks quite logical. What do you think? Is it worth overpaying for the top-end P30 Pro or can you save some money and limit yourself to the P30?
