Dirt tends to accumulate imperceptibly in unexpected places. A trash can, a glass for brushes, switches - and this is not all the places that we go around while cleaning.
1. Coffee maker
The coffee maker accumulates coffee residues and limescale, so it must be washed once a month. Mix vinegar with water in a 1: 1 ratio and start the coffee maker with this mixture. Stop it halfway through the cycle and let it stand for an hour, then turn it back on. Then run the coffee maker several times with clean water to get rid of the vinegar smell.
2. Sofa cushions
We usually keep our bedroom pillowcases clean, but forget about decorative pillows, although they tend to collect more dirt. Vacuum them every time you clean your living room, and wash them occasionally according to the instructions on the label.
3. Trash bin
If the kitchen smells bad even after you've taken out the trash, it is possible that food particles and bacteria have accumulated in the bucket. Wash it thoroughly with soap and spray with disinfectant spray. Do this at least once a week.
4. Curtains and upholstery
At first glance, they may appear clean, but in fact they collect a lot of dust, as well as bacteria and mold. So remember to vacuum your furniture and wash your curtains regularly.
5. Dishwasher
Food particles, soap suds and hard water can clog the dishwasher, and mold can build up in the dishwasher. If the dishes don't rinse well or smells unpleasant, it's time for you to clean the dishwasher. Remove the filter and wash it in soapy water, then put it back in and run a full wash cycle with a powerful detergent. This cleaning is best done once a month.
6. Bathroom accessories
Bacteria also accumulate where, it would seem, they should not be: in a glass with toothbrushes, a soap dish, on the shelves. Therefore, when cleaning the bathroom, do not forget to treat everything with a disinfectant.
7. Washing machine
To rid the washing machine of unpleasant odors and mildew, run the wash without laundry at the maximum temperature with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. To do this, mix soda with water in a 1: 1 ratio and pour it into the detergent compartment, and pour a little vinegar (about 400 ml) into the drum. Do this every six months or if you get an unpleasant odor.
8. Knobs and switches
We touch them all the time with dirty hands, but we rarely think of them when cleaning. Wipe them down with a disinfectant at least once every two weeks, paying special attention to the kitchen and bathroom.
