For me, this advice turned out to be the most effective. I do what I want, but be sure to list absolutely all income and expenses. Sounds strange, perhaps. But this is much better than following your arbitrary prohibitions and hoping that this kind of torture will someday work.

As it usually happens, we set ourselves a definite goal: to save up some amount of money, lose so many kilograms, spend so many hours on work. And then we painfully try not to deviate from our plans. Keeping records without trying to limit almost immediately changes our desires for something. You can easily see where it is better to spend your money, time and energy. The huge spending figure under the Clothing column will surely force you to pacify your inner shopaholic.

Spending too much, skipping workouts, or dropping out halfway through it means that we are simply not aware of the real consequences of our behavior.

"Today's self" succumbs to temptation in the hope that "tomorrow's self" will fix everything.

Keeping records can be very interesting. It can be fun to see what in life affects the recorded numbers and how those numbers affect your life.

The essence of this principle is that you will not feel obligated to do something. The understanding that you need to change your habits will come by itself. You will voluntarily give up unnecessary expenses.

Remember that you are free and that you have always been. But only you are responsible for your freedom, spending money, time and energy.
