Chrome does a great job of storing usernames and passwords across different sites. However, there are many reasons why many people choose to use third-party password managers. In Chrome 64 and later, it is possible to save the login details for all resources to a CSV file so that you can import it into another application later.

  1. Copy chrome: // flags / # password-export to the address bar and press Enter.
  2. Enable Password export by selecting Enabled on the right.
  3. Restart your browser by clicking on the blue button at the bottom right.
  4. Go to Chrome settings and search for the "Manage passwords" section.
  5. To the right of the inscription "Sites with saved passwords", which headlines the list of all resources, click on the three dots and select "Export".
  6. Click Export Passwords and choose where to save the CSV file.

The resulting file can then be easily imported into any popular password manager such as 1Password or LastPass. You can also open it through Excel and view all your passwords. They are not hidden by asterisks, so be extra careful with this file.
