A healthy lifestyle can turn into illness if you forget your shower slippers and changeable shoes.

15 hygiene rules in the gym that are best not to violate
15 hygiene rules in the gym that are best not to violate

1. Prepare a clean set of molds

It is not known what guides people who wear the same clothes for training twice in a row, but it is time to ban it by law. Gym sweat is common and is virtually odorless when fresh. But on the second day, the amber will be stunning - in the literal sense of the word.

Yes, and it will be better for you: bacteria multiply especially actively in soaked clothes, and it is better to avoid meeting with them.

2. Bring your shower and pool shoes

In the locker room there is always someone who is trying to tiptoe to the shower room and quickly wash there, as if the fungus would not notice him in this case. But that doesn't work, so don't forget your rubber slippers. Use them also when changing clothes to avoid stepping on the floor with your bare feet.

Periodically, these shoes should be washed and disinfected to keep fungal spores away from your feet.

3. Bring your exercise mat on the floor

In theory, the front side and the one that is supposed to be placed on the floor should be marked on the rug. In fact, a piece of rubber is twisted at random, stepped on with sneakers and bare feet. And then you fall on your face after a record-breaking plank, and this does not bode well for your skin.

If you don't want to wear your mat, at least cover the local area rug with a towel.

4. Always change into gym shoes

As tempting as it is to practice in street sneakers, don't do it. On the sole, you bring dirt, feces, allergens. During running and other rhythmic exercises, particles of all this are lifted into the air and deposited on your skin and lungs.

Of course, in an amicable way, this rule will work effectively only if everyone follows it. But you cannot be responsible for other visitors, so start with yourself.

5. Wash before exercising

If you come to workout in the evening after work, a light shower or at least occasional washing of strategic places will not be superfluous. Remove any antiperspirant residue to sweat freely and get rid of the unpleasant odor that inevitably appears during a work day. And at the same time, you will cheer up and start training with renewed vigor.

If life is not nice to you without deodorant, choose one that does not block the activity of the sweat glands.

It is also better to wash off decorative cosmetics. If, of course, you go to the gym for a slim body, and not in search of a relationship. Otherwise, it may end up with clogged pores and rashes.

6. Keep your hands away from your face

When sweat drips from your forehead and covers your eyes, you brush the drops off your face without noticing it. But think about it: you are grabbing bars, ropes, handles that have gone through hundreds of hands. And the following touching of the skin and eyes can result in acne in the first case and conjunctivitis in the second. Therefore, it is better to use a special napkin.

7. Place a towel on the equipment

Some gym goers will wipe down the equipment before using it with a disinfectant liquid. But it takes time and looks, to put it mildly, strange. If you are not ready for such measures, lay a towel. This will protect you from other people's secretions, and will not let you leave a puddle of sweat after you. This advice is especially relevant for lovers of micro shorts and short tops.

And it is quite logical that in order to get sweaty parts of the body wet, this towel is no longer suitable. Otherwise, you cannot avoid skin problems.

8. Use gloves when handling the scales

Protecting your hands from calluses is necessary not only for aesthetics. Bursting blisters after contact with bars and grips, which are teeming with bacteria, can cause a lot of problems.

And do not forget to wash your gloves, otherwise they themselves will become a source of danger.

9. Change your drinking bottle regularly

The best container is made of metal: bacteria practically do not accumulate on it. Plastic bottles are convenient and beautiful, but they should be replaced periodically, since even after washing with hot water, some bacteria remain on them.

10. Disinfect the headphones

Wipe your headphones regularly with rubbing alcohol - this isn't just a gym tip. Sweat and earwax accumulate on them, which can cause inflammation.

11. Take a shower after the pool

Chlorine, which is added to the water for disinfection, dries out the skin and hair. Better to rinse off the residue of this chemical. And after a shower, the skin should be moisturized with a cream.

12. Use a towel in the sauna

It's not just about hygiene and unwillingness to touch the shop, where other naked people were already sitting. You can easily burn yourself on a hot tree.

13. Don't go to the pool with open wounds

It is best to stay at home until the cut has healed. So you will avoid infection, which is possible, even if the sports club is not greedy with bleach.

14. Wash after exercise

As noted earlier, bacteria thrive on your sweaty clothes. So cut back on contact with them: shower and change.

15. Keep your gym bag clean

After training, it is better to unload the bag in order to dry it completely. Do not forget about periodic washing. Don't just throw clothes and sneakers inside, but put them in bags - this will help to keep clean.
