Spend just a couple of minutes and secure your pictures online.

Simple text stamps can be made along the way. However, it is better to prepare a watermark in advance by creating it in a graphics editor or using online services and saving it in-p.webp

How to watermark a photo on a computer

In Photoshop

If you have this image editor, adding your stamp to the photo is as easy as shelling pears. Once you save your settings, you can use them to quickly add watermarks to other pictures.

Open the photo you want in Photoshop, and then add a text stamp or drag and drop your logo in-p.webp

Arrange the watermarks diagonally: bottom left and top right.

Turn off the background layer by clicking on the eye to the left of its name, go to the menu "Edit" → "Define Pattern" and give the pattern a name. After that, the layers with watermarks are no longer needed: they need to be hidden or removed.

Now turn on the background layer, unlock it by clicking on the padlock and double-click on the name to open the Layer Style window. Check the Overlay Pattern checkbox, select the pattern you created earlier, and then adjust the opacity and scaling sliders. Click OK.

It remains to go to the menu "File" → "Export" → "Export as …" and save the photo with a watermark in the required format. Later, when you need to protect other images, it will be enough to open them in Photoshop and repeat the previous step.

In Lightroom

If you use these tools from Adobe to work with images, you can quickly put a mark right here. To do this, go to Edit → Edit Watermarks in Windows or Lightroom → Edit Watermarks in macOS.

Select a text or graphic style for the stamp and, in the latter case, specify the file path by clicking the button in the Image Options section. Scroll through all the options and adjust the opacity, size and position of the watermark. When you're done, click "Save" and name the preset.

Now select the photos you want, go to the "File" → "Export" menu and, having specified the necessary settings, scroll down the list. Check the box next to the "Watermark" item, specify the created preset in the drop-down menu and click on the "Export" button.

How to watermark a photo on a smartphone

How to watermark a photo online

If you don't want to bother installing applications, online tools are your option. For example, a convenient and free service.

On the main page of the site, click Custom size, specify the canvas size that matches the resolution of your photo, and click Create new design.

Drag your photo and watermark file to the sidebar to upload it to Canva's servers.

Click on the photo and adjust its size so that it fills the entire canvas.

Click on the logo, put it in the right place. Use the menu to adjust the transparency and duplicate the watermark if you want to have several of them in the photo. Instead of a logo, you can add a text caption by clicking on the Text button in the sidebar.

When everything is ready, click Download, select the desired format and download the stamped photo.
