Beloved by many, the trilogy "Back to the Future" carries a powerful message that not all moviegoers realize.

For some, this movie is an old fantasy about a mad scientist and his friend, usually a silly, but resourceful in a critical situation and a charismatic young man who grew up in a family of losers. For me, Back to the Future is a film about not giving in to troubles and always being afraid. This is a life-affirming story about friendship and overcoming difficulties, even if you yourself are the cause.

1. Stubborn people do not miss the chance

Director Robert Zemeckis comes from a working-class family of boring provincials, like the family of the protagonist of Back to the Future. When Robert applied to the School of Motion Picture Arts, he was rejected due to poor grades. Parents also took their son's attempt to become a director without enthusiasm. And then the young Zemeckis went to summer school, pulled up the results and was nevertheless accepted into the ranks of the future successors of the Hollywood traditions. There he met the writer Bob Gale, with whom they co-wrote the script for Back to the Future and directed the film.

The hard road to success influenced the script.

At the beginning of the first part, Marty McFly discusses with the girl the unsuccessful audition of his music group and decides whether to send the cassette with the recording to the producers.

What if they say it won't work? And they will add: "Boy, you have no future." I will not survive such a refusal.

Exactly the same thing was said by his father George in 1955, doubting his abilities as a science fiction writer. He was also not sure if Lorraine, Marty's mother-to-be, would agree to go dancing with him. At the moment of "pan or disappear", when not only personal and not very much concerned George's reputation, but also the honor of the girl was at stake, he gave the local thug Biff in the face and changed the history of the family. The film does not show how he became a writer in an alternate present. But the attentive viewer will guess that, having overcome the fear of a bully, young George has ceased to be afraid of ridicule of his work.

Another bright story is a black cafe cleaner during the days of segregation, who became mayor 30 years later.

2. You can not give in to provocations

In all parts of Marty McFly's trilogy, he is haunted by the fear of looking like a coward. This is used by his antagonists: Buford Mad Dog Tannen from the era of the Wild West, his descendants Biff and Grief, as well as cunning friend Needles, played by Flea, bass player of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

- What’s the matter, chicken?

- Nobody calls me chicken.

Typical dialogue from Back to the Future

After such a dialogue with the main character, troubles happened. The only time they managed to avoid them at the end of the third part, when Marty decided not to dash in a race with Needles and avoided a collision with a car, after which he could say goodbye to the musical future.

3. There are no trifles

The trilogy has funny episodes with renaming. In the first part in 1955, Marty escapes from an angry farmer with a gun on a DeLorean and knocks down one of two pine trees standing on the border of the ranch. Thirty years later, a supermarket built on the site of the farm, which at the beginning of the painting has a sign with the name “Two Pines”, at the end of the first part turns into a “Lonely Pine” store.

There are also creepy moments. Old Biff from 2015 hijacked a time machine and handed over to his young self in 1955 an almanac with sports results for the second half of the 20th century, so that he would bet on the winner. In the alternate present, Biff with the almanac turned into a tycoon and darling of fate, who decided the dispute over the girl Lorraine in his favor with the help of money and brute force. I wonder what would happen if a real bad person won a million by chance? Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

4. The future is not written anywhere

This phrase of Dr. Emmett Brown seems to refute everything that the main characters saw during their jumps through time. But there is also logic in this. If every action on the fly rewrote the future, then how do we know what it will be? Convinced fatalists shouldn't watch this movie. The rest will prefer to think in four dimensions in order to build their better future with the help of the present.
