Among the films that hit the screens in 2020, we consider Christopher Nolan's "Argument" to be the best.
According to the plot of the film, the Protagonist (John David Washington), working for the special services, is tasked with stopping the Russian oligarch Andrei Sator (Kenneth Branagh), who has taken possession of the time inversion technology and can now destroy the whole world. The hero is helped by agent Neil (Robert Pattinson), who in a strange way finds himself in the know.
Christopher Nolan is one of the most popular and beloved directors of the audience. All of his latest works combine a complex fantasy concept, games over time, a dynamic storyline and large-scale special effects.
Argument is no exception. Only a very attentive viewer will be able to understand the twists and turns of this film. It is better to look at it twice in order to follow the intricate pattern of time movements for the second time.
All this is combined with a very dynamic action movie in the spirit of spy films about James Bond: heroes go to different countries, climb skyscrapers, drive cars and even crash a plane. Moreover, Nolan prefers practical special effects: a significant part of what is shown is not computer graphics, but actually filmed tricks.
As a result, the director turned out a complex, but at the same time spectacular and impressive blockbuster, which was appreciated by hundreds of thousands of viewers around the world.
