Where to stay in Anapa
Prices for accommodation in Anapa are usually not very high, but they grow rapidly during the season. A double room in a beautiful hotel in August will cost from 14,000 rubles per night, in a simpler hotel - from 4,680 rubles.
If you try, you can find neat apartments overlooking the bay at a price of 4,500 rubles per day on weekends and 4,000 on weekdays. And here is a good alternative not far from the coast for 3,920 rubles (while the discount is valid, without it - 4,900). The most ordinary apartment by the sea can be rented for 2,500 rubles (just hurry up, they are booked very quickly for almost the entire summer, like other decent housing options at the resort).
What sights of Anapa to see
Russian gate
One of the main attractions of the city, which reminds of the pre-resort history of Anapa. Once there was a huge Turkish fortress, but now nothing remains of it, except for the fortress gate.
Mineral water pump room
There are several pump rooms in Anapa (these are pavilions built over mineral water springs), but the most popular is in the Vysokiy Bereg area. You can drink completely freely, you will only need to pay 10 rubles for a disposable glass. Visitors with resort books will not have to pay at all.
Anapa Archaeological Museum "Gorgippia"
When visiting the museum, it is best to take an excursion: there you will be told that the ancient city of Gorgippia stood on the site of modern Anapa more than 2,000 years ago. You will be able to see excavations of ancient quarters with a total area of 1.6 hectares (although not everything is open to the public).
In addition to the open-air exposition, you will find various artifacts of the past hidden behind glass: coins, ceramic and clay utensils, weapons and much more.
Monument to the White Hat
The idea of the monument was born from popular songs about the city: "Along Anapa in a white hat", "I'll put on a black hat, I'll go to the city of Anapa." You can take a picture in the background absolutely free of charge (however, during the season you usually need to stand in a small queue).
What attractions to see in the vicinity of Anapa
Sand dunes in Dzhemete
Along the entire beach in the village of Verkhneye Dzhemete, there are picturesque sand dunes, sometimes overgrown with wild olive trees. They are of natural origin: in winter, the wind brings sand during storms. In spring, the embankments are partially raked for passage to the sea.
Monument "Beginning of the Caucasus Mountains"
At the exit from the village of Su-Psekh towards Varvarovka, a high stele crowned with a bronze eagle was erected several years ago. The fact is that it is here that the Greater Caucasus Range begins. And now it is "guarded" by the idea of a majestic, but in fact a rather funny bird.
Swallow's nest
A unique observation deck between Anapa and the village of Su-Psekh. You can get there on foot from the Orekhovaya Roshcha Park along Ivan Golubtsa Street or along the paths along the sea (we just warn you right away that the path will be long and will take about an hour). Another option is to take minibus No. 126 to the final stop on Lermontov Street. Unfortunately, the famous photo location has already lost In Anapa, the famous "window to the sea" has disappeared its main highlight: a part of the rock, where the swallows nested, collapsed.
But if you still decide to visit these places, be sure to appreciate the unusual descent to the sea "400 steps" and "800 steps": they will appeal to thrill-seekers and those who want to lose a couple of kilograms.
Lake Sukko (Cypress Lake)
Now a unique reservoir with cypress trees growing right in the center is experiencing. The famous cypress lake in Anapa has dried up due to heat and drought. Will it recover? not the best times: the lake was dry due to the prolonged heat. Previously, people used to go here to ride a catamaran or just wander around and enjoy the view.
Now the cypress trees can be reached on foot, the water level has dropped so much. Although the management of the Sukko Valley park assures that the famous Cypress Lake dried up in Anapa because of the heat, that the reservoir will one day fill up naturally again.
Reserve "Utrish"
An amazingly beautiful corner of the Black Sea coast, where you can walk and breathe the air of relict junipers. But if you are in the mood for a secluded vacation, it is better to go to Utrish in the off-season: in summer there are usually too many tourists here.
Bugaz spit
With clean sand, sparse shrubs and many shells of various shapes and colors, this place is perfect for learning kitesurfing and windsurfing. If you're lucky, the TripAdvisor Review might even admire the dolphins. But keep in mind that every year there are a lot of tourists here.
Tourists tell a Review on TripAdvisor. A trip to the Bugaz Spit almost cost us our lives, that in these places there are aggressive packs of dogs, so be extremely careful: if you are going to stay overnight, be sure to stock up on special scarers.
Gai-Kodzor vineyards
This is a stylish private winery 10 kilometers from Anapa. A one and a half hour excursion with tasting will cost 700 rubles per person, a two-hour excursion - 900 rubles. Please note: the excursion must be booked in advance. Excursions and tastings in advance through the website, you will not be able to join the group on the spot.
