Remember to disinfect.

Recently, many of us have learned to constantly wipe the door handles and all the switches in the apartment, but not everyone dares to wash the doors themselves. Even cleanliness-obsessed people who polish floors and furniture to shine do not pay enough attention to this.

However, in reality, the door leaf is no different from other surfaces where the pathogen of the coronavirus can remain. Scientists have long proven that SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19, can live on smooth surfaces for days. This applies to both furniture and doors. In both cases, systematic disinfection is required.

It is best to clean the doors with a rag or sponge soaked in alcohol or sanitizer. If there is dust or other dirt on the doors, it is recommended that you first simply wash the door with detergent, and only then treat with alcohol.

When cleaning the door, special attention should be paid to the upper part of the leaf, the ends, the area around the handles and the lock, if any.

After cleaning with an alcohol solution, it is important not to wipe the canvas dry, but to let it dry on its own. It won't take long.

If you do not really like cleaning floors, and even more so you do not want to wash furniture and doors, make it a habit to wipe all surfaces with which you come into contact with wet wipes containing alcohol.
