Most people are afraid of death. But each of us has already managed to die dozens of times in our lives. Read about how this happened in the article.

You have died many times in your life. How did this happen?

How did you die

Of course, I do not mean death in the literal sense of the word. I want to say that you have died many times to become who you are now.

I bet that at family celebrations your mother loves to talk about various incidents that happened to you as a child. Or you, flipping through your graduation album, remember all the nonsense that you did in your school years, and then, glancing suspiciously at the photograph, ask yourself: "Who the hell is this?"

And you are right. Who the hell is this? It's not you. At least this is not the person you are at the moment. This person was you, but now it is not. He was just a shadow of you now.

This boy, who actively got rid of garlic in any dish, now adds too much of it to his food. This boy, who was so overwhelmed by the girl's beauty that he even told her about the wedding, now considers her to be nothing more than just a friend. This boy who hated writing is writing articles for the top blog today.

This boy is dead.

You made a certain choice, you preferred one over the other, some people over others, and - ta-dam! Here you are, the person who is reading this article right now.

Something about regret

There is a whole chain of decisions that the boy in the photo had to make, and among them, no doubt, there were not very correct ones. You screwed up hundreds of times, forgot your childhood dream of becoming a doctor, and whatnot. There are many things you wanted to do but didn't.

Yes, cry over all the missed opportunities and stupidities you've done, and then celebrate. Who knows, maybe someday you will be grateful to fate for all your mistakes, because thanks to them you became who you are now.

Each of us has a "box" in which we store our opinions and plans for the future. When you meet new people, read a book, watch a movie, or simply reflect, you can change your mind about a number of issues. Perhaps these new opinions will be even more reasonable.

Congratulations, you killed yourself. Gradually and unconsciously, little by little you died.

When you were 10 years old, you saw the world differently than you do now, because you have had to go through a lot over the years. Perhaps you are glad that you have become an adult, mature person who is well aware of his individuality and understands a lot in this life. Or maybe it's just the opposite: you feel sad because you are no longer a carefree child. But now it doesn't matter: time has taken everything away.

Nevertheless, realizing the inevitability of change is difficult and even scary. You are scared. You are afraid of the person you can become, and you are afraid that you can lose your self.

But let's dot the i's. If in the past you often ate cherries, but now you can't stand it, this does not mean that now you have “less yourself”.

Your past shouldn't determine what kind of person you should be. You don't have to cling to old possibilities just for fear of not being yourself anymore. Instead, think about this: you have a chance to become yourself in the future.

Reflect on all your actions, think about the people with whom life confronts you. Do they help you become a better person, become a person, take a small step towards your real self - the person you want to become? Keep learning and exploring, never think that what you know and can do at the moment is enough.

Life is not about finding yourself. Life is creating yourself.
