What complications are compensated for

Significant complications for which payments are provided are enshrined in a separate normative act. There are seven of them:

1. Anaphylactic shock.
2. Severe allergic reactions, namely Quincke's edema, Stevens-Johnson, Lyell's syndromes, serum sickness, and the like.
3. Encephalitis.
4. Vaccination-related poliomyelitis.
5. Lesions of the central nervous system with clinical manifestations of convulsive syndrome or with residual, leading to disability. It can be encephalopathy, serous meningitis, neuritis, polyneuritis.
6. Generalized infection, osteitis, osteitis, osteomyelitis caused by the BCG vaccine.
7. Chronic arthritis due to rubella vaccination.

You may notice that for some complications, the type of vaccine is also indicated.

How much will they pay for complications from vaccination

A one-time benefit in case of complications from the list above is 10 thousand rubles. In cases where the consequences of vaccination lead to disability, monthly compensation is due. Now it is 1,427 rubles, but payments are indexed annually. In addition, if a child encounters these side effects, the caregiver may go on paid sick leave.

If a person dies due to the vaccination, 30 thousand will be paid to his relatives.

Health Minister Mikhail Murashko proposed to increase compensation for complications from vaccination. But so far there is no specifics.

What to do if faced with complications after vaccination

Of course, you should first see your doctor to minimize harm to your health. If the condition raises concerns, you need to call an ambulance.

Also, a specialist will be needed to establish that the state of health has really worsened due to vaccination. Each case must be investigated. As a result, you need to get a conclusion about the post-vaccination complication.

Where to go for payments due to complications

The social protection authority appoints compensation. You can submit documents in person, through a multifunctional center or online. For example, in St. Petersburg, papers are accepted through the city portal of state services, in the Sverdlovsk region - through "State services".

You need to provide:

• Application (for online submission, it is better to find a sample on the website where you will do it, the forms may differ; in case of offline submission, the employee will give the form).
• Identification.
• Conclusion on establishing the fact of post-vaccination complications.

If a person has died, add to the package of documents:

• Death certificate when the person passed away in another region. Otherwise, the department will receive papers from the registry office directly.
• Written consent of all adult family members of the deceased to pay benefits to the applicant.
• Proof of eligibility, such as a marriage certificate.

You may be asked for other papers. Much depends on whether the departments in the region have learned how to exchange data on their own.

Documents will be considered up to 10 days. When submitting through the MFC, a little longer - the delivery time of the papers is added.
