Google finally remembered the Gmail app, which on iOS for a long time looked like a crudely adapted version of a desktop website. Today's biggest update in four years has made mobile Gmail the mail you really want to use.
The first and most noticeable change in the revamped Gmail is the interface. It was completely adapted for Material Design, and now the application looks cool and modern, like most of the software from Google.
Another important update is a little less obvious, but equally useful. Gmail now has a "Undo Send" feature that has been working fine in Inbox for some time now. Now, after sending the letter, you will have about 5-7 seconds to change your mind and return it back. Of course, in the overwhelming majority of cases this feature will not be useful to you, but it is likely that one day you accidentally send a letter to the wrong place / wrong / with the wrong text and the return function will come in handy. By the way, in the Android version of Gmail, you still can't cancel sending.
Now is the time to mention other useful innovations. First, the app is much more nimble. Secondly, mail search tries to predict your request as early as possible and works faster, as well as the function of correcting typos when entering text.
And finally, in the updated Gmail, it became possible to delete or send letters to the archive using a swipe in one direction or another.
Gmail for iOS is now much more enjoyable to use. And if earlier you bypassed it, now is the time to take a closer look.
