1. Chocolate truffles with cherries

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pitted dates
  • 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder;
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla;
  • 12-16 pitted cherries.

Preparation

Grind the dates in a food processor. Add cocoa and vanillin there and mix everything well again until a homogeneous mass is obtained.

Form small balls, make indentations in them, put cherries there and wrap them. Finished truffles can be rolled in coconut or chopped nuts.

2. Banana-cherry smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana
  • 1 cup cherries
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 240 ml of water.

Preparation

Peel the banana and remove the pits from the cherries. Place all ingredients in a blender and beat until smooth. For a colder cocktail, you can freeze the cherries, strawberries and banana a little beforehand.

3. Brownie with cherries

Ingredients

  • ½ cup toasted almonds
  • ½ cup macadamia nuts or walnuts;
  • ½ cup of cocoa powder;
  • ⅛ teaspoon of salt;
  • 1 ¼ cup pitted dates (about 12)
  • 12 pitted cherries.

Preparation

Grind the nuts in a food processor. Add cocoa powder, salt, a few dates and grind again, gradually adding the remaining dates until the mixture is completely smooth. Then add halved cherries or lightly chopped (but not into porridge) berries.

Place the mixture in a rectangular or square dish lined with baking paper. Press lightly with your fingers to a thickness of several centimeters and send to the refrigerator for an hour.

Take out and cut into small squares. The resulting delicacy can be taken with you to training or served with coffee or green tea.

4. Cherry lemonade

Ingredients

  • ½ cup pitted cherries
  • ¼ a glass of freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice;
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar (more if needed)
  • 2 glasses of mineral water with gas.

Preparation

Whisk the cherries, sugar and lime or lemon juice in a blender until smooth. Taste and add more sugar if necessary.

Then strain the puree through a sieve or cheesecloth to remove the skin of the berries. As a result, you should have about 1 cup of cherry-citrus juice.

Mix the juice with mineral water, pour it into glasses, add some ice and serve. You can use whole cherries and thin slices of lime as a decoration.
