It is not without reason: before the invention of antibiotics, the tuberculous focus in the lungs was actually more or less successfully suppressed by the intake of fat. The following mechanism worked: fatty acids brought into the lungs by blood were oxidized and replaced by themselves amino acids similar to them, of which the cell wall of the tuberculosis bacterium, Koch's bacillus, consists. The walls of the bacteria were damaged, the microbes lost their activity, and the disease receded.
However, modern drugs are much more active. Therefore, treatment with badger fat is a relic of the past. And this is the key point.
Badger fat was indispensable in the absence of pharmacies and adequate medical care. But to use it today is to ignore all the achievements of civilization.
Why badger fat is useful and who needs it (spoiler: definitely not for you)
