If you take away their smartphones and computers from today's children, they simply won't know how to entertain themselves. Before my 8th grade, absolutely none of my classmates had a cell phone. And it was a great time! During recess, we played football in the hallway or on the street. And in boring lessons or substitutions, we played different games on a simple notebook sheet. I propose to recall some of them.

Feudal lords

This game was also called dots. Perfectly develops logic and intelligence. The goal of the game is to conquer as many lands as possible. Players take turns putting dots on a notebook sheet and trying to surround the opponent's dots. The distance between the points that can be connected must not exceed one cell. At the beginning of the game, they agree on whether it is possible to capture an empty field and what to count at the end - the size of the territory or the number of captured enemy points. The game ends when there is no empty space on the field. Well, or when everyone gets tired of it.

Tanchiki

Game for accuracy of sight and ingenuity. Its rules are very simple. We take an A4 sheet or just a notebook. We fold it in half. And we draw tanks on the field. The number of tanks and their sizes must be discussed in advance, so that later there is no misunderstanding. The Middle East conflict is childish compared to these disputes. On one side of the sheet are the tanks of one player, on the other - the other. And the war begins! We draw a grenade - a point in an arbitrary place on our field. We direct it very strongly with ink and fold the sheet in half. We press harder so that it will be imprinted on the opponent's field. We unfold the sheet and admire the result - we killed the tank or not. The war lasts until a truce or the moment when all enemy tanks are destroyed.

Gallows

This is a more intellectual game. The presenter thinks of a word, names the number of letters and writes two of them - the first and the last. The word must be a noun in the nominative case and in the singular. The player names a letter. If he guessed wrong, the first element of the gallows is drawn. It is imperative to decide what the final number will be. You can play this game in a large group and draw a separate gallows for each participant.

Chain

A simple word game. It is convenient to play in groups of two or more people. The presenter says two words of the same length. From one word, replacing one letter at a time, you need to make another word. All words must naturally exist. It is worth discussing first which words can be used - nouns, in the plural or singular, in which cases. The winner is the group or player who, in fewer moves, will make the second from the first word.

Balda

Extremely cool game! Just like the previous two, on the knowledge of words. We draw a field of arbitrary size. The larger the field, the longer it takes to play. For a 45 minute lesson, 10 × 10 fields are enough. Write a long noun in the middle of the field. And then, adding one letter at a time, we create new words. They must also be singular and nominative nouns. And by no means proper names. Words can be read vertically or horizontally in any direction. For each new word, the player is awarded as many points as there are letters in the word. The winner is the one who collects the most points by the end of the game.

Up to a hundred

The goal of the game is to quickly find numbers on the field and quickly write down the numbers from 1 to 100. Draw two fields 10 × 10. In one, write down the numbers from 1 to 100 at random. The second is left blank. We exchange sheets with the enemy. We choose any number and cross it out on our field. We call this number to the enemy and begin to quickly and quickly write down numbers from 1 to 100 in order on the adjacent field. The opponent must find the named number on his field and say stop. We call the numbers in turn. The winner is the one who is the first to add the numbers to 100.
