The beautiful half of humanity uses mascara, lipstick, powder - a familiar set that almost everyone needs. But, in addition to this, there are products that at first glance seem unnecessary, although in fact they solve a lot of difficulties when applying makeup.

1. Base under the shadow

The main function of the foundation is to increase the durability of the shadows so that they do not roll off. Additionally, it makes the color of the shadows richer. In the picture you can see the shadows applied in one layer, with and without base. The shade is brighter on the skin with the base.

To achieve an even saturated color, it is enough to apply the eyeshadow to the base in one layer. To get the same effect without it, you need 3-4 layers. The foundation increases the color saturation of the eyeshadow at least three times, and with it, eye makeup can be done three times faster. At the same time, it turns out to be more persistent and looks more natural.

The base under tone, lipstick and mascara have a similar principle of action, but there are also additional advantages.

2. Makeup base (primer)

As with the foundation under the eyeshadow, with the primer it is enough to apply the tone or powder in one layer to cover the color imperfections of the skin. If you apply foundation without foundation, the same effect is achieved in 2-3 layers of application.

What's the difference between foundation and foundation? The tone corrects color imperfections of the skin - blood vessels, pigmentation.

The base protects the skin from particles of decorative cosmetics getting into the pores and evens out the texture, the surface of the skin - pores, fine wrinkles.

Imagine baking a pie in the oven and placing the dough on a baking sheet without parchment paper. You will have to make an effort to clean it up later. If you place the dough on parchment paper, the baking sheet will stay clean. A makeup base works in much the same way. It can be used without powder and tone. The redness and other spots on the face will not overlap, but the skin surface will be evened out.

3. Mascara base

There are several varieties of this tool:

1. Base for extra volume of eyelashes. It is usually thick and visible on the eyelashes. When you apply mascara over such a base, the lash becomes thicker, due to this, additional volume appears with the effect of spider legs.
2. Transparent mascara base (transparent mascara). Not all beauty brands have this product available. Connoisseurs of perfect and natural eye makeup should look for it. This base is transparent and not visible on the eyelashes. She curls them, locks the bend and helps to apply mascara as naturally as possible, separating each lash. The mascara will not crumble and will acquire a richer color.

The clear mascara can be used as a standalone product without mascara. It will give the lashes more curl without discoloration. Also, transparent mascara can be used as a gel for styling eyebrows.

4. Lipstick base

Brightens the color of the lipstick and increases the durability of the lip make-up. Some foundations have the added benefit of smoothing and preventing wrinkles from forming on the lips.

How it works? The base contains a special ingredient that, getting into the skin, swells and pushes out wrinkles. You get the effect of smoother lips immediately after application. Prevention of the appearance of wrinkles is achieved with regular use of the product. For this, antioxidants and peptides are included in its composition.

5. Cream filler

Replacement for Botox injections and similar products. Starting to use a filler cream from about 25 years old, you can significantly delay the appearance of deep expression lines.

Filler cream - a cream that fills the dermis, smoothes wrinkles and visually relieves the skin of external signs of aging. The composition usually contains collagen or hyaluronic acid.

The principle of operation is the same as for the lip base. A special substance gets into the wrinkle, attracts moisture, swells and pushes the wrinkle out. The filler takes moisture from the face cream that you apply after.

Thanks to peptides, retinol and other substances (the composition varies depending on the brand), you will additionally strengthen the skin in the area of mimic wrinkles and significantly slow down the process of their manifestation. By using a filler cream every morning before applying makeup and moisturizer, you visually reduce wrinkles in a minute.

6. Matting wipes

A must-have if you are worried about shine on your skin during the day. The wipes instantly absorb sebum and leave the skin clean and matte.

The habit of applying powder during the day has a detrimental effect on the skin, provoking rashes. So you stick together the particles of sebum, dust on the skin, and powder.

Every time you feel like applying powder, pre-wipe your skin with matting wipes. They will remove excess oil, and you will apply the powder to a clean face.

Do not replace matting wipes with wet ones. Wet wipes often contain alcohol, which can dry out your skin and wash away your makeup. Matting wipes, on the other hand, preserve makeup by absorbing only excess oil.

7. Cream powder

Often, girls find cream powder too thick and heavy for daytime makeup. But cream powders are different, and now we are talking about compact versions that are applied with a sponge.

In addition to the obvious application - application all over the face - the cream powder can be used as a corrector for acne. The liquid concealer that we apply under the eyes will not cope with this task: it has too light texture, it will quickly be absorbed into the pores. The cream-powder is dense, covers redness well and stays on the skin surface longer.

Owners of combination and oily skin strive to choose the most liquid and light foundation for themselves. But the liquid foundation quickly penetrates the pores, becomes noticeable and gives additional radiance, which is better to get rid of with oily skin.

Due to its density, the cream-powder does not penetrate the pores, helps to smooth the skin surface and mattifies. After using it, you do not need to additionally powder.

8. Transparent powder

Invisible on the skin, but significantly improves its appearance. How does it work? Transparent powder contains a lot of light-scattering particles, and when light hits the face, it is reflected from the powder particles. Pores, fine wrinkles, skin irregularities become less noticeable.

The transparent powder, unlike the classic one, evens out the surface of the skin, and not its color.

Therefore, it should be used instead of tone if it is not necessary to overlap the redness and pigmentation of the skin. A transparent powder is applied over a regular or foundation.

Transparent powder can lighten the center of the face, just like makeup artists do. It is lighter, more natural and easier to apply and also mattifies the skin. Distribute the sheer powder on the points: on the forehead, under the lower eyelid and nose. Then draw a thin line down the bridge of the nose and blend.

9. Black matte shadows

Great replacement for eyeliner. It is more convenient to paint over the eyelash contour with black shadows and draw a graceful arrow. For application, you need a short, thin brush with a flat cut. Take a small amount of eyeshadow on it and apply at the roots of the lashes. This technique will add extra volume to the lashes and accentuate the shape of the eyes.

10. Colored lip balm
