1. Check compatibility

2. Make a backup
To avoid losing important data, save a backup using Time Machine. 3. Install the access utility
- Open Apple's beta testing software in Safari and click Sign Up.
- Enter your Apple ID account information.
- Go to the "Register your devices" tab.
- Click the Download macOS Beta Access Utility button.
- Open the downloaded file and install the program following the wizard's prompts.
4. Upgrade to macOS Catalina
When you install the Beta Access Utility, the Software Update settings menu will automatically open. The system will detect an available update.
Click the Update Now button and wait for the macOS installer to finish downloading. Then run the installer and follow the wizard's prompts to install macOS Catalina.
