How to shoot 60fps video on iPhone

Not many people know that the camera in the latest iPhone models allows you to shoot video of much higher quality than the default settings. In particular, you can shoot with a doubled frame rate. How? Let me tell you.

For watching films, it is customary to take 24 frames per second as a standard. For games - 30. Recently, however, the bar has risen to 60 frames per second in games and 48 in films (remember the last "Hobbit"). Increasing the frame rate makes the picture change smoother. However, the difference can be seen mainly in rich and dynamic scenes. However, about all this, there have been lively discussions on thematic forums for a long time.

What does it take to enable 60fps video recording (for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus)? Not so much:

  1. Open the Settings app and select Photos & Camera.
  2. Activate the "Record video at 60 fps" switch.
  3. Close "Settings", turn on the camera on your device and select the "Video" shooting mode. Now you will see the information that the video will be recorded at a rate of 60 frames per second.

Try to make a video now, and then look at what happened. You may notice that the image has become smoother if you change, for example, the angle while shooting.

However, I want to warn you right away: increasing the frame rate will negatively affect the free space of your iPhone. 60fps video takes up more space than 30fps.

Let me explain that the increase in the frame rate has nothing to do with the "Interval" and "Slow" shooting modes - the video will be recorded in the same way as before.
