Fleksy is the first alternative keyboard for iOS with Russian language support. And she's really cool!
One of the most anticipated innovations in iOS 8 is support for third-party keyboards. On the day the new iOS was released, Swype, SwiftKey, TouchPal and Fleksy showed their keyboards. Many "apple" resources cheated and reviewed all these keyboards. Why did they cheat? Because they are all useless, since they do not have the support of the Russian language.
Everyone except Fleksy. At the moment, this is the only keyboard that can replace the standard keyboard in iOS. Is it worth it? Yes!
You need to enable the keyboard in the "Settings" - "General" - "Keyboards" menu. Here click on the "New Keyboards" button and select Fleksy. After that, you can go to the settings of the application itself to adjust all the parameters. I recommend checking out the tutorial, as many Fleksy chips are hard to find on your own.
Fleksy supports a variety of themes, and almost all of them are hell. Pink, yellow and green keyboards do not fit into the system itself, or into my idea of beauty. However, the silvery and dark themes are quite fine. Personalization should be noted separately. You can give Fleksy access to your Gmail, Facebook and Twitter accounts to analyze frequently used words and add them to its own dictionary.
By the way, the dictionary is another cool feature of this keyboard. The first few days it is quite inconvenient to use it. You have to enter all the new words into its database (swipe up on the keyboard), but a few days after the dictionary is filled with frequently used words, Fleksy guesses what you wanted to write and does it quite well.
In the keyboard settings, you can add languages, enable automatic capitalization, keyboard sound, and more. Unfortunately, Fleksy is still far from ideal. Sometimes it crashes, and a standard iOS keyboard takes its place. And today all the settings of the application have disappeared altogether, but I am glad that the dictionary has remained in place. These are all problems with iOS 8 itself, which is still pretty bad. I think that within a couple of weeks there will be updates that will fix all this.
Fleksy costs $ 0.99, and you can buy multiple themes for an extra dollar. Is it worth the money? Yes, yes and yes. Even now, it's much cooler than the standard iOS keyboard, and until SwiftKey and Swype add Russian keyboard layouts to their apps, Fleksy will remain the only worthwhile alternative.
