In this article, you will find a list of actions that will help you get ready for your trip correctly and not be tormented later by the question of whether you turned off the iron. All potential vacationers are encouraged to read.
Every year during the summer holidays, many people pack up and go out on an adventure. They go alone, in companies or whole families to the warm sea, green forest or cool mountain in order to relax and gain fresh impressions. But in order for the vacation to be calm and comfortable, you need to properly prepare for it. This article will show you how to do this.
Not less than two days in advance
- Make sure someone picks up your mail. The look of a crowded mailbox immediately indicates that you are away, and can attract intruders.
- Add your pet to someone you know or to a shelter.
- Pay your bills to avoid late fees while you are away.
- Check the toiletries, equipment, clothing, gadgets that you intend to take with you. Fix them or buy new items if needed.
- Take care of the entertainment on the plane, train or bus. Prepare books or magazines, upload interesting content to your mobile device.
- Check and refill your first aid kit.
- Inform family or friends about the travel itinerary. If you doubt the need for this, then watch the movie "127 hours".
- Consider how you will get to the airport or train station. In some cities, this is not so easy to do.
One day before
- Throw out perishable foods from the refrigerator, as well as any fruits and vegetables that have a limited shelf life.
- If your house has an alarm, then inform the security service about your departure.
- Leave the keys to your house to someone you trust, relatives or neighbors. This can come in handy in case of emergencies or, for example, when you need to water your houseplants.
- Change your bedding. There is nothing better than returning home and finding fresh sheets there!
- Print your boarding pass.
- Write down or print the destination address.
- Check the weather forecast at the point of arrival.
- Confirm your hotel reservation.
- Find and install, if necessary, on your mobile gadget applications that may be useful to you (maps, messenger, travel guide, translator, and so on).
- Make electronic copies of your ID, ticket, insurance and other important documents and store them online.
- Activate autoresponder in your email.
- Fully charge your smartphone, laptop, GPS and other electronic devices that you take with you.
- Provide yourself with the necessary amount of cash in bills of various denominations.
- Call your bank and inform about your trip.
- Pack all the things you need in a suitcase or backpack.
On the departure day
- Pack your most important documents, tickets, money and gadgets in a small purse that will always be with you.
- Make sure all doors and windows are securely closed.
- Take out trash and other waste that might go bad.
- Wash all dishes and tidy up the kitchen.
- Turn off the lights everywhere.
- Disconnect electronic devices and household appliances.
- Water the flowers.
- Close all blinds and curtains.
- Once again, make sure that there are no prohibited items or substances in your carry-on baggage.
- Check the availability of tickets, documents and the exact date of departure.
What to take with you
Of course, everyone determines the set of necessary things and clothes for themselves independently, based on personal needs. But we want to draw your attention to a few things that people most often forget at home.
- Personal hygiene items: disposable shampoo, soap, shaving aids, toothbrush and paste, deodorant, towel.
- A small first aid kit, which must include a callus plaster, pain reliever, activated charcoal, and any medication prescribed by your doctor.
- Route, maps, guide.
- Smartphone charger.
- Book or magazine.
- Pen or pencil and paper pad.
- Headphones.
- Sunglasses and sunscreen.
We hope that these tips will help you successfully get ready for your trip and navigate it in such a way that as a result you will have only the most positive memories.
