In one of the posts, we have already reviewed the Runtastic Altimetr Pro mobile application. And this time I want to share my impressions of the Runtastic Pro running app.

Runtastic is another mobile running app. I've just started testing, so I can't tell you what the distance error is (or if there is any) and how often the GPS signal is lost (with Nike + and Runkeeper, crashes happened with annoying frequency). But I liked the first run with a nice female voice with a British accent.

Functions

In order to start training, you register via e-mail, Facebook or enter your account login and password. Then choose the metric system, enter your age, weight and height. After that, the application is ready to work.

Basically, this Runtastic has quite a few common features that almost every running program has. This is a voice notification every kilometer about the distance traveled, calories burned, time, speed for this segment and overall speed (km / h). You can choose male or female voice in English, German, French or Italian.

If you are running with a heart rate monitor, your heart rate data will also be displayed on the home screen, and then you can see a graph of your heart rate change. In the settings, you can choose what kind of data should be communicated to you while running.

Also in the application there is a choice of a playlist, the ability to take photos with geotags while jogging; auto-pause in case your laces are untied or a red light turns on at a traffic light; the cheer function from online friends and the voice of your personal trainer who will support you during your workout.

In addition to all this, you can choose not just a run, but arrange mini-competitions or choose to achieve a set goal. For example, run a certain distance or develop a desired speed, or burn a certain number of calories. There are also workout plans for beginners looking to lose weight, run 10m, half marathon and marathon. And in the Workouts section, you can choose your own interval workout - half marathon, 20 minute workout, hour workout, or create your own.

Want to run for a while? Then choose the options: 5 km in 30 minutes, 10 km in 60 minutes, 5 km in 25 minutes, 10 km in 50 minutes, or, again, you can choose your own challenge. The same goes for distance training or calorie burning.

In the resulting graphs and tables, you can track how your speed has changed for each kilometer traveled. Speed graphs (average km / h and km / s) with display of time and terrain (ascents and descents), as well as a graph of your heart rate.

The app also has a built-in weather forecast that monitors the weather conditions during your run and records them.

After the end of the workout, the application offers to sync with the site and share the data on Facebook and Twitter. You can track the statistics of your workouts and see your progress over specific periods of time (week, month, year).

As you can see, there are a lot of functions. I may have missed something. The simplified version of Runtastic has fewer functions, but it is quite suitable for testing the application and adding up your idea of it. After which you can already make a decision whether or not to buy the pro version.
