Garmin has expanded its line of smartwatches with the Fenix Chronos, which combines stylish design with advanced sporting capabilities.
Garmin has a variety of wearable devices in its arsenal. The manufacturer's lineup includes activity trackers, smartwatches and even analog watches with the ability to track activity. The new Fenix Chronos product is positioned by Garmin as a premium product, combining quality materials, attractive design and a fairly high price.
Fenix Chronos allows you to track your wearer's activity with a pedometer, calorie counter and sleep quality tracker. In addition to these standard features, Garmin smartwatches monitor activity during cycling, golfing, and open water swimming. The device is equipped with GPS and GLONASS modules, an altitude sensor, barometer, compass and optical heart rate monitor.
Garmin smartwatches can be called smartwatches thanks to the ability to download and install applications from Garmin Connect IQ. To do this, the device must first be connected to a smartphone. This will also allow you to receive notifications.
As noted above, the Fenix Chronos have a classic, but no less interesting design. They can be safely called one of the most beautiful smartwatches on the market. They are equipped with a 1, 2-inch display protected by sapphire. Also, the watch can withstand diving to a depth of 100 meters.
The battery life deserves a separate mention. If you turn off most of the sports functions, the device will work for up to a week. Users will be able to get about 25 hours from the Fenix Chronos with the activity tracker turned on. Finally, the gadget will work for 13 hours at maximum load with an active GPS or GLONASS module.
The Garmin Fenix Chronos are already available for purchase in three versions: with a steel case and leather strap ($ 899), with a steel case and stainless steel bracelet ($ 999), and a titanium case with a bracelet made of similar material ($ 1,499) … The cost of smartwatches cannot be called affordable, but their capabilities fully compensate for the costs.
