It is noteworthy that quite a long time ago Microsoft announced the sale of Nokia's division, which is responsible for the production of ordinary mobile phones, to one of the subsidiaries of the Chinese Foxconn. Thus, Nokia 216 could be one of the last phones released by Microsoft. In addition, the American company is going to complete the release of Lumia smartphones and abandon this brand, which was also part of Nokia earlier.

However, Microsoft is not giving up its presence in the smartphone market. The company is expected to launch a new line of smart devices under its own Surface brand early next year. Smartphones will work under the control of the same Windows Phone, which for many years has not been able to become a worthy competitor to iOS and Android.
