The miniature leg was the subject of a special cult in China for quite some time, and to achieve this ideal of beauty, Chinese women went to incredible physical tortures - bandaging. The smaller the foot was, the more prestigious the bride was. Ladies from high society should not have walked on their own at all. And really, why ?!

Renaissance

During the Renaissance in Italy, women were a symbol of virtue both in public life and at home. The value of a woman depended on her relationship with men, be it a father, son, brother, husband, or even God himself. The behavior and appearance of the wife reflected the condition of the husband.

Beautiful in those days - this is a rounded body, large breasts and full hips, pale skin, blonde hair with a reddish tint and high foreheads.

Victorian era

The British ideal of beauty during the reign of Queen Victoria was an hourglass figure tightly pulled by a tight corset, pale skin, muted colors in clothes and long hair.

The twenties of the XX century

In the 20s of the XX century, women received the right to vote in the United States, and this meant only one thing - finally, freedom! Since the days of Cleopatra, do you remember? Fashion was dictated by the voice of freedom and Charleston - an androgynous look, a low waist and a bra that made the chest flatter. The girls were more like boys.
