Microsoft launches Planner, its own Trello counterpart

The Microsoft Office product line has received a new addition today. Planner helps you and your team develop plans, organize and distribute tasks, share files, discuss current affairs, and monitor the progress of tasks.

is a convenient space for individual and collaboration, a bit reminiscent of the well-known Trello service. In it, all activities are organized using boards, on which you can place cards with tasks and other information in the required order.

For each task card, it will be possible to set a deadline, attach the necessary files and appoint a responsible person. Particular attention is paid to ensuring joint work on the project. To do this, you can invite your colleagues to participate, who can edit the content of the board, upload their files, comment on any card, or participate in a general chat.

In order not to get confused in a complex project and always know how much progress has been made in a particular task, Microsoft Planner has a special control panel. It shows the progress of the entire project in the form of visual diagrams, the percentage of completion of individual tasks and the productivity of each team member.

Convinced Microsoft Office users will undoubtedly love Planner's integration with other programs in this office suite. Thanks to this, you can easily place text documents from Word, spreadsheets from Excel or notes from OneNote on Planner boards, and all changes made in the documents will be automatically synchronized.

Microsoft, which will be available over the next few weeks for all Office 365 subscribers. In addition, applications for Android, iOS and Windows Phone are expected to launch in the near future.
