In my opinion, Freaking Inkies can be called one of the oldest hits in the App store. The developers of the game were very interested in using the hardware capabilities of the iPhone and iPod touch, as a result of which users can enjoy not only multitouch, but also the accelerometer in one game. So to speak, "two-in-one".
In the story at the very beginning of the campaign, you will learn that many small multi-colored ink drops (from the English Ink - ink) invaded your library, intending to ruin your favorite books. And the only way to eliminate them is to splash ink of the same color on them.
For this, a simple control system is used, consisting of a cross-shaped sight and rows with three colored buttons (red, blue and yellow) on the sides of the screen. By tilting the device, you can move the sight and shoot at the ink monster with the required color:
- if the monster is one of the "standard colors", then you will need to press simultaneously on two, say, yellow buttons;
- if a blot of compound color jumping across the book (for example, orange), then you have to press the red button with one finger, and the yellow one with the other; it doesn't matter which side you choose these colors from.
By the way, the longer you hold down the buttons, the larger the "hit radius" of the ink stains will be.
At the first levels, shooting at monsters is quite simple, but then the fun begins, because the developers approached the process of creating a game with imagination and offered users a variety of modes. For example, in "In the dark" you will not see the color of funny blots on books until you point the "flashlight" at it; in the "Sniper" mode, you only need to hit monsters of a certain color or size, and so on.
The result is a very attractive and interesting game about the heroic struggle between good and evil, with vivid visual effects, good colors and contrast.
