Several high-profile premieres have been postponed due to the coronavirus, but still there will be enough interesting projects. Collected the best of them.
April premieres
1. Tales from the loop
- Fantastic.

The plot of the series from Amazon tells about the inhabitants of a small town living next to a machine created to explore the mysteries of the universe. It is called the Loop. Because of this apparatus, residents gain access to absolutely fantastic things and participate in incredible events.
The plot of this series is based on the artbook of the artist Simon Stalenhag. In his works, he combined nostalgic landscapes of the 80s – 90s with futuristic technologies.
2. Home before dark

Nine-year-old Hilda with her parents and sisters moves to a small town by the lake. She dreams of growing up and becoming an excellent journalist. Soon, Hilda begins to notice that all the inhabitants of the city are behaving strangely towards her father. Then the girl takes up the investigation of the case and talks about it in her own newspaper.
Surprisingly, this series is based on real events. Young Hilda Keith Lysyak has indeed been investigating Orange Street News since she was nine and even solved the murder.
3. Fugitive

Machinist Mike Ferro is unjustly accused of organizing a terrorist attack. Rumors spread through the media, and the hero will have to personally prove his innocence. He escapes from prison and tries to find the real criminal. Meanwhile, police officer Clay Bryce is hunting for Mike himself.
In April, the new streaming service Quibi will launch, which will produce series of short episodes. The Fugitive, based on the 1993 action movie of the same name starring Harrison Ford, will be one of the first premieres of the platform.
4. The most dangerous prey

The terminally ill Dodge Maynard is trying to raise money for his pregnant wife. He decides to take part in a dangerous hunt. But Dodge will have to act as prey for a wealthy customer.
Another premiere from Quibi. Behind the creation of this series is Phil Abraham, who worked on the famous "The Sopranos" and "Mad Men". Liam Hemsworth (brother of Chris Hemsworth) and Christoph Waltz will play the main roles.
5. Survive
- Adventure, thriller, drama.
- USA, 2020.
- Premiere date: April 6.
The main characters - Jane and Paul - survived the plane crash. But now they need to get out of the snow-capped mountains on their own, because there is nowhere to wait for help.
This is the third major premiere from Quibi. This time, the authors decided to retell the novel of the same name by Alex Morel. And the main role in the film adaptation will be played by the star of "Game of Thrones" Sophie Turner.
6. Run

Ruby's life is boring and commonplace. And so she gladly responds to the proposal of her ex-boyfriend Billy, who has become a successful guru. He claims that the girl will go on a journey that will change her attitude towards life. But everything turns out to be much more complicated.
This series was created by the famous Phoebe Waller-Bridge (author of the acclaimed projects "Killing Eve" and "Trash") with longtime colleague Vicki Jones. This means that the audience will have a very cool and unpredictable plot with great humor.
7. Mrs America

- Premiere date: April 15.
This series is based on a true story. The plot unfolds in the 70s, and it is dedicated to the confrontation between the lawyer Phyllis Schlafly, known for her conservative views, and supporters of the amendment to the constitution on equal rights for men and women.
In this project, in addition to the actual topic, the leading roles are also attracted. The series stars Cate Blanchett and Elizabeth Banks.
8. Ghost in the Shell: Loner Syndrome 2045

In 2045, after a general economic collapse, artificial intelligence began to develop rapidly. As a result, a war broke out between humans and machines. The former cyborg police became mercenaries, but soon faced a new threat - a posthuman, who far surpasses them in strength and speed.
The sequel to the legendary anime will be released on streaming service Netflix. And one of the directors of the new animated series was Kenji Kamiyama, who created "Ghost in the Shell: Loner Syndrome."
9. Defending Jacob

Assistant District Attorney Andy Barber investigates the murder of a teenager. And the main suspect in the case turns out to be his 14-year-old son Jacob. The father is trying with all his might to protect his child, but the evidence points to his guilt.
Apple TV + continues to release its own series. The main role in the novelty, based on the novel of the same name by William Landay, will be played by Chris Evans. And the role of his son went to the young actor from "It" Jaden Martell.
10. Scary Tales: City of Angels

- Premiere date: April 27.
The spin-off of Scary Tales is set in Los Angeles in the late 1930s. Two detectives investigate a complex case and encounter a cult worshiping Santa Muerta and followers of the devil.
It is interesting that in the new series many actors from "Scary Tales" will appear, but in completely different characters. And one of the main roles will be played by Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer. She will play a demon that constantly changes appearance.
11. I know it's true

- Premiere date: April 28.
The series will tell the story of twin brothers Dominica and Thomas, one of whom suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. The plot is described as a story of deception, loss and forgiveness against the backdrop of 20th century America. The main role in the project, based on the novel of the same name by Wally Lamba, will be played by Mark Ruffalo, he will play both brothers at once.

The Freeform series doesn't have huge budgets. But still, he pleases with acting and mixing mysticism with social drama. That is why the audience really fell in love with this story.
2. Man of the future

An avid gamer and a loser in life, Josh Futurman suddenly found out that the heroes from his favorite game are real. Together with them, he travels into the past and the future, trying to fix history. But it always makes it worse.
Seth Rogen's witty hooligan project ends. It has already been announced that the third season will be the final.
3. Harley Quinn

The Joker's former assistant broke up with her boyfriend and decided to start her own gang. But nobody wants to take Harley Quinn seriously. But she still shows what she is capable of, even the super villainous organization "Legion of Death".
The dashing series from DC Universe was very fond of the audience. It has everything that a full-length comic strip film lacks: a story filled with crude jokes and grotesque violence. The only surprising thing is that the second season starts literally a month after the final of the first.
4. Duck Tales

Millionaire Scrooge McDuck and his three great-nephews are constantly looking for adventure and getting into trouble. The team of heroes grows more and more, and the villains who dream of seizing Scrooge's wealth are becoming more inventive.
For two seasons, not only familiar heroes from the classic series, but also characters from other Disney cartoons have appeared in the new "Duck Tales". And in the sequel, the authors promise the viewers even more guests: from Daisy Duck to Chip and Dale.
5. Killing Eve

The crime series from Phoebe Waller-Bridge follows MI5 analyst Eva Polastri, who is mired in a routine. But it is she who has to open the hunt for the psychopathic killer Villanelle. Over time, their enmity develops into a real obsession.
It is already known that the series has been pre-renewed for a fourth season. This means that the authors do not doubt the quality of the third.
6. What are we doing in the shadows
