1. Vampire Wars

Due to global warming in the ice of the Arctic, a virus is awakening, turning people into vampires. Dr. Luther Swann and his wife are trying to find a cure for the disease. Meanwhile, their closest friend Michael becomes the leader of the vampires.

It is interesting that the main role in this series will be played by Ian Somerhalder, familiar to many from his role in another saga about bloodsuckers - the television series The Vampire Diaries.

2. In truth

Drama, crime, thriller.

Journalist and podcast author Poppy Parnell rose to fame after solving a high-profile murder. But 18 years later, new evidence is found in the case, and then the heroine realizes that she may have sent an innocent person to prison.

Apple TV + continues to announce high-profile premieres. In Truth, Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul will star.

3. Sex in another city: Generation Q

The famous TV series, which ended 10 years ago, is back. The original project was dedicated to the lives of eight gay heroines. In the sequel, they promise to tell how the fate of the main characters developed, as well as to acquaint viewers with new faces that already live in our time.

4. The Witcher

One of the most anticipated winter premieres is coming to Netflix. The Witcher is based on the series of books of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski and is dedicated to Geralt of Rivia, who hunts monsters.

The streaming service is betting heavily on this project. A considerable budget has been invested in the series, the main role is played by the famous Henry Cavill. And "The Witcher" has already been extended in advance for a second season.

5. Dracula

Horror, drama.

BBC creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis are launching a new series about Count Dracula. The plot will unfold at the end of the 19th century in Transylvania, where the vampire is making plans to capture London.

As with Sherlock, there will be only three episodes per season, but each one and a half hours long. The main role will be played by Danish actor Claes Bang.

6. Stranger

Thriller, detective.

Premiere date: January 13.

An eleven-year-old boy is killed in a small town. Overwhelming evidence points to the local baseball league coach - an exemplary family man and a good teacher. But it soon turns out that the suspect has an ironclad alibi.

Stranger is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Stephen King. Ben Mendelssohn will play the main role in the project, and Jason Bateman, the leading actor and director of the Ozark series, will be behind the production.

7. Star Trek: Picard

Fantastic.

Premiere date: January 24.

The next part of the legendary Star Trek franchise will tell about a new chapter in the life of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. The action will take place 20 years after the events of the 2002 film "Star Trek: Retribution".

Partick Stewart will once again perform in his famous role, and his character will once again be in space, but still he will not return to service in Starfleet.

8. 5th Avenue

The plot of the series takes place in the second half of the 21st century. Space tourism is actively developing, and people travel to different parts of the solar system. And when the Fifth Avenue liner is in distress, Captain Ryan Clark has to figure out how to save himself and all the passengers.

The production of the black comedy from HBO is the responsibility of the creator of "Vice President" and "Death of Stalin" Armando Iannucci, and the main role will be played by the star of "Dr. House" Hugh Laurie.
