Google has developed a fairly simple yet effective way to speed up the loading of web pages on both your computer and phone. The algorithm is called Lazy Mode, it can be called "lazy loading". So far, it only works in the test Canary version.

The principle of Lazy Mode is quite simple: the browser first loads only that area of the page that is visible on the screen of a computer or any other device; the rest of the web page gets low priority loading. Thus, the desired area of the site appears faster on the screen, and the rest is imperceptibly loaded with a slight delay.

To activate this mode you need:

  1. Download the browser for Windows, Linux or OS X from the official Google website.
  2. Install and launch the browser, and enter the text chrome: // flags / # enable-lazy-image-loading in its address bar
  3. You will see two items named Lazy Image Loading and Lazy Frame Loading. Both need to be put into the Enabled state.

Lazy loading is expected to arrive in the stable version of Chrome for computers within a few weeks.
