When a multifunctional task manager enters the market, Whiteboard will have to compete with Wunderlist in the first place. However, the new product looks nicer, has excellent functionality and in some ways surpasses the eminent competitor.

First of all, it's worth starting with the disadvantages. He is one, but quite substantial. Whiteboard, in fact, is still in beta testing, and in order to receive an invitation, you will have to wait a while. That is why it can be fully used so far only on iOS and in a browser window. This is a serious omission, but the app is likely to appear on other platforms as the popularity of Whiteboard grows.

This task manager has much more merit. It is only taking its first steps, and now many of the cool features implemented in it are available absolutely free. Whiteboard, unlike Wunderlist, does not have any restrictions either on the number of delegated tasks, or on the number of subtasks, or on the size of attached files. By the way, given the latter fact, the service can be freely used as unlimited cloud storage.

As for the functionality of Whiteboard, it is as close as possible to its competitors. The differences lie in the appearance of the task manager. And he's just great. The minimalistic, light and unobtrusive design of the interface of the novelty does not distract at all and does not interfere with focusing on work. The first thing the service will offer you to do is create your own personal workspace or a team of several users. There can be many spaces, each of them is responsible for a separate area, be it work or shopping lists.

The tasks collected from all spaces are displayed in the Me tab. It, in turn, is divided into three more subsections: Later, Today and Done. Each of them is responsible for displaying upcoming, current or completed tasks, respectively. A similar section is present in each of the spaces. Each of them can be assigned a color for better visual recognition.

The structure of the sections consists of lists and the actual tasks. For convenience, they can be created using the hotkeys T (short for Task) and L (short for List). For each created task, you can add comments, attach files, links or geotags. If desired, the settings change the reminder time for a specific task or its other details.

An interesting feature is the ability to create a team. You come up with a name, invite members, assign roles to them and get a great tool for managing the workflow of your employees. There are only two roles to choose from: Admin, who is allowed to change the name and manage the invited users, and Member, who is given access only to certain tasks and lists. The further logic of working with a team is similar to that in personal spaces.

While Whiteboard is at the limited preview stage, most of its features are completely free. To extend the free time of using the service, you can invite up to five friends. Then you can not think about paying for a premium subscription for another year. You can download Whiteboard to your iPhone or start using it in a browser window completely free of charge right now. Based on feedback from early active users, this task manager is actually worth a look.
